NY Times Slapped With $5M Lawsuit For Citing SPLC, Branding Immigration Hawk a 'White Nationalist' [More
Actually, it's the association with hate that's objectionable.

I'm (nominally) "white" -- as much as someone whose ancestral lands were invaded by Mongols and Ottomans can be -- and I view the Constitutional Republic bequeathed by the Founders to be the best viable alternative from what's been developed to date for providing an approximation of liberty and justice for all. ALL.

Can it get better? Sure.  I'd just rather continue the climb from halfway up the well than in a heap at the bottom.

The boy's mother insisted her son was really a girl because he liked the movie Frozen and asked for a girl toy at McDonald's. A jury awarded her custody even though she intended to place the boy on puberty-blocking drugs that would result in chemical castration. She also admitted her intention to remove his genitals. [More]

The Lesser of Two Intolerable Acts?

The leader of the Ohio House had pointed to a bill that would change gun and mental health laws as an alternative to Gov. Mike DeWine’s anti-gun violence package. [More
Where have I heard "We've GOT to give them SOMETHING" before?
After Sandy Hook, there was a cadre of insiders discussing appeasement measures to help quell the gun ban feeding frenzy, operating on the assumption that “we have to give them something—we can’t offer nothing!” Some colleagues and I were privy to those discussions, and we did our best to make it clear that any sign of weakness or surrender would be loudly condemned. Instead, our unequivocal warning to politicians was: WE WON’T STAND FOR SCAPEGOATING NO NEW GUN LAWS DENY SUCCESS TO MASS MURDERERS BY ABOLISHING PHONY ‘GUN-FREE’ VICTIM / KILLER-ENABLING ZONES NOW WORK WITH US OR WE WILL WORK TO RETIRE YOU
As for DeSwine, he'll never get my vote no matter what.

Back by 'Popular' Demand

A gun-control event at the Virginia state capitol drew 200 activists on Wednesday, a turnout dwarfed by the tens of thousands who have attended Second Amendment sanctuary meetings all over the state. [More]

Governor to again seek red flag law [More]
Looking at those two, death by snu-snu seems especially cruel.

Or are only "progressives" allowed to "joke" about that.

How is this anything but revenge rights rape?

Governor Cuomo Unveils 18th Proposal of 2020 State of the State: Banning Untraceable "Ghost Guns" by Requiring Firearm Parts be Treated as Guns and Have a Serial Number [More]

Let me guess: Guns procured by the state for its enforcers will be exempted?

Kind'a makes me wonder why any manufacturer still supports them.

Or any trainer.

We're the Only Ones Active Shooting Enough

An Oklahoma police lieutenant has been indicted for second-degree murder in the May 20 killing of a woman during a vehicle pursuit. Supporters of Blackwell, OK, police Lieutenant John Mitchell say the suspect was an active shooter. The media describes her as a “road rage suspect.” [More]
"The media describes" is not the same thing as "evidence the jury considered."

We heard what she did. What was she doing as he took her out?

Maybe it was a good shoot, maybe it was not.  That's why we have this thing called "due process" that so many of our would-be rulers seem so eager to let the enforcers ignore.

In a comprehensive summary of the case at sharylattkisson.com, the reporter alleges that the intrusions began in 2011 while she was reporting at CBS on the massive government gunwalking scandal “Fast and Furious.” [More]
Which means she probably wasn't the only one, which is something Mike and I both suspected but never had the means to prove.

And the Hits Just Keep on Coming

Virginia Democrats move toward ban on guns in State Capitol [More]
That'll take time, but you'd better believe they'll force it through if they can. Anybody know if the governor or the police could issue some sort of emergency order or get an injunction before Lobby Day?

UPDATE:
Virginia lawmakers ban guns at state Capitol
So now it goes to the Senate? How soon? The gov?

Per Mack:

No. The Governor has NO authority over property owned or leased by the General Assembly. It is their prerogative to decide what the rules are and how they are applied. Ralph has no say. Today, the 'Rule' was issued by fiat by the JOINT Rules committee, composed of Leftists from both the House and the Senate. So it is done. It's over.

Well, There Is That...
