Another 'Progressive' Idea That's Been Done Before

Virginia SB 248: funding gun control groups with taxpayer money and killing off the first amendment [More]

Think of it as an ideological bullet fee.

I Believe! Now What?

You either believe in freedom or you don’t. It’s that simple. [More]
True enough.

The question then becomes what to do about it.  Since the topic here is "civil war," I have a simple question: Who are the leaders we who believe in freedom should follow?

A civil war, by definition, replaces the leadership.

At the time of the War of the Rebellion, they had the Continental Congress and the deliberative and judicial bodies of the several states. At the time of the War of Northern Aggression, they had the CSA.

Anybody see this credibly fleshed out anywhere? If so, please share.

If Wishes were Fishes

Ultimately, the egregiously and flagrantly unConstitutional Brady handgun Control Act of 1993 must be rescinded, repealed, or otherwise struck down with extreme prejudice. [More

And if it's not...?

Seal of Disapproval

A. 1. Any person who knowingly communicates, in a writing, including an electronically transmitted communication producing a visual or electronic message, a threat to kill or do bodily injury to a person, regarding that person or any member of his family, and the threat places such person in reasonable apprehension of death or bodily injury to himself or his family member, is guilty of a Class 6 felony. However, any person who violates this subsection with the intent to commit an act of terrorism as defined in § 18.2-46.4 is guilty of a Class 5 felony. [More]

So...sending this to Northam and the Democrats will be a no-no?

We're the Only Ones Infectious. Enough

We're the Only Ones Self-Destructive Enough

Nearly 5 Times As Many Police Officers Killed Themselves Than Were Shot In 2019 [More]

If that isn't justification for elite gun entitlements, I don't know what is.

Close, but No Cigar

Bloomberg, and his anti-American cohorts were able to “buy” progressive control of the red state of Virginia in the 2019 elections. [More]

That's not what ultimately did the trick and it does no one any favors not to even mention the single greatest threat.  And then there's:

While working to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, terrorists, and the mentally ill...

It's demonstrably a bit late by then...

We're the Only Ones Tipped Off Enough

The police told us they had a tip about George but what we soon discovered was the tip to the police came from the Capitol police itself. [Watch]
That's been one of my concerns about snitch programs:
What if you’re a cop and getting a warrant might prove problematic? (It's not like we haven't seen prominent warrant “workarounds” at the highest law enforcement levels recently.) Calling in a tip could reduce a lot of red tape. (And it’s not like corruption up to and including planting guns is unheard of, even in cities with a “Crime Stoppers gun bounty” program.)
The guy handled himself well enough, but as a rule, there's a more advisable way

A Matter of Perspective

I’m still scratching my head over here try to figure out how I’m a traitor to the Commonwealth…or the country for that matter or the constitution. [More
Then you're either a hopeless incompetent or a liar.

And I hadn't realized Pence was one, too.

The Enemy Within

Florida Senate President Bill Galvano, sniffing with derision at DeSantis' E-Verify proposal, said, “It is something that the Florida Senate — or at least this administration — does not endorse.” His designated successor, agribusinessman Sen. Wilton Simpson, has been similarly opposed. [More]

And gun owners be damned!

Actually, for this snake, it's another payoff.

This shows what we can expect from most establishment Republicans when they no longer need us.

How Government Works

“Democrats have control, so let’s see what they can do with it,” Nixon said. "Let’s compromise, let’s work together. In order to run a self-sufficient government, you have to compromise.” [More]

He clearly doesn't understand. They take some of what's yours but not all.  Next time they take a bit more. See? "Compromise."

And as for sovereign immunity being"complicated," it's not. A monopoly of violence can do whatever it wants to you without consequence. What could be simpler?

Baffle 'em with Bulls**t

3 laws that could cut homicides 36 percent and more numbers on guns in Virginia [More
So per Boston University's Claire Boine, "we" need to "prohibit people who have been convicted of violent misdemeanors from possessing guns, give authorities the discretion to reject concealed carry permit applications, and institute universal background checks"?

Like in Baltimore?

Advance to the Rear!

A West Virginia senator is inviting the National Rifle Association to move to his state as lawmakers pursue gun-control measures in neighboring Virginia, where the group now has its headquarters [More]

I'd say consider the optics of our ostensible leaders doing that, but realizing "The NRA distanced itself from Monday's rally," I'd say they pretty much have taken care of that.
