I could swear I blogged on this earlier this month but can't find it now.
Anyway, I've talked about it plenty of times over the years asking "If it works for cars, what's to stop them from mandating it for guns?"

If they can figure out how to put one in, I'm sure some kid will figure out how to remove it, hack it, or destroy it.
