GRE Round Up for Apr. 5

There's some good stuff being turned out. I hope you're availing yourself of it, and importantly, sharing these links via emails, on blogs and forums, with your local newspaper editor, etc.

A common complaint is media bias and absence of representation for "our side."

These people work hard to change that and ask for nothing from those of us their labors serve other than to help spread the word. I hope no one thinks that's too much to ask.

Here are their latest offerings:

Anthony Bouchard/Cheyenne:
Matt Mead, deceptive with so called “rumor control”
Casper store, no guns allowed resolved

Daniel White/Cleveland:
Ohioans For Concealed Carry Fun 'n Gun a great success

John Longenecker/Los Angeles:
Kurt Hofmann/St. Louis:
Educating the Illinois public about defensive handgun carry

Go. Read. And please share these links.

You're doing that, right?

You Got Nothin', Paul Helmke

Nothin' but insults, and conflation. [Read]

And the thing is, you know it.

Do you listen to yourself?

Jeez, now it's not just OKC we "zealots" are celebrating, but somehow John Wilkes Booth and Virginia Tech are stirred into the mix you're trying to tar us with?
Too many in our country are fueled by hatred, resentment and guns.
Stop with your hatred, resentment and unhealthy fixation on our guns and your problem solves itself...

Calling Interference

Well, what else would you call it?

On the plus side, it may explain why the antis are getting more shrill and desperate in their attacks.

We're the Only Ones Acting with Reckless Abandon Enough

A motorist was left with little recourse after police grabbed his truck and stranded him, alone, on the side of the road in a dangerous Mesa, Arizona neighborhood -- even though he had not done anything wrong. US District Court Judge David G Campbell issued a preliminary ruling last Friday that Ted Mink, 47, had no right to sue the city over his treatment at the hands of the police. [More]
Of course, if someone did the same thing to judgy-boy here, he might amend his opinion that such actions don't "go beyond all bounds of decency."

Of course they do. And you have to wonder at the sadistic type of "Only Ones" who would do this to another human being--under color of law.

The other thing, judge: Ultimately, it's not you who gets to decide what's "intolerable."

Too Many/Too Much

The information shines a spotlight on an issue every urban area in Florida struggles with: too many criminals carrying too many guns, creating too much danger...[More]
The solution...?

Increase restrictions against you and me...?

Questions

Anthony G. Martin notes there are more of them than there are answers. [Read]

We're the Only Ones Doing an End Run Enough

A member of the Iowa National Guard has learned it is not exactly a good idea to run through a farm field near Cedar Rapids in full combat gear with a rifle. [More]
Yeah, God forbid you do anything to approximate real-world conditions.

The first time you run with full gear and a rifle, we want it to be a brand new experience.

That's the "Only Ones'" version of "exactly a good idea".

One other thing, Lt. Fitzpatrick--you say he "didn't use...moxie..."

For some reason, Inigo Montoya comes to mind...

Gun Extremist Home Owner Endangers Self and Others!

Didn't this foolhardy non-professional know that if you use a gun you're either going to shoot an innocent bystander or else the attacker is going to take it away from you? [Read]

What the hell is wrong with these gunloons?

Just give the intruder what he wants. Isn't that what the "experts" say?

We're the Onl...

...Ooops, no we're not, either.

Thing is, when people are conditioned to equate a uniform with authority...

But I actually decided to link to this story for another reason. Note the terminology. The AP doesn't call them "terrorists." They don't call them "extremists." They call them "gunmen."

Eh--perhaps I'm just making a mountain out of a mole hill here.

It's just when I see the same press characterizing people who use the First Amendment to advocate the right to keep and bear arms as zealots and "hatriots"...

India Gives Further Evidence on Universal Futility of 'Gun Control'

So aside from well-heeled and connected government functionaries flaunting their "exotic" possessions, how are things working out for the masses? [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at the best laid plans of mice and maharajahs...or something like that.

Also see what's happening in Montana to help figure out who's worth voting for and, importantly, who isn't.
