Adam Hubley, Lieutenant Colonel, 11th PA, "Several of our out continentals alarmed our camp by firing off several guns about 1 o'clock in the morning, in consequence of which light corps stood under arms. Several patrols were sent out to reconnoitre the front of encampment, returned near day-break, but made no discoveries--alarm proved premature. Gen. Hand, being ordered with the detachment under Gen.
