AAR Recap

Here's last Sunday's Armed American Radio program for those who didn't listen live.  I was on in Hour 3:
Conservative Radio Host-Doug Allen, USCCA’s Steve Fischer and Michael Martin, Nikki Goeser discusses her husband’s murder and todays current events, JPFO’s Charles Heller returns, regular contributors David Codrea and George “The Mad Ogre” Hill.

Cop rape case highlights life-endangering outrage of ‘Only Ones’ mentality

But at what point would physical resistance to officer abuse under color of authority become appropriate, from both a moral and legal standpoint? At what point would a citizen be able to engage in self-defense against an attacker with a badge, up to and including using lethal force to stop a threat? [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner commentary adds another dimension to that "national conversation on guns" the antis say they want to have.  Why not see if they're serious? Send them this link, then watch them shuffle, evade, change the subject, attack, ridicule and do everything but directly answer the following question: Under what circumstances would you find it morally justifiable to shoot a police officer?

Call Me a Doctor

OK, you're a doctor. [More]

On a related note, I didn't realize they allowed comments...

Stop the Threat Encore Presentation: The Accident

From American Trigger Sports Network:
In this week's crime re-enactment, An angry driver rages down the road and cuts off an unassuming driver who subsequently rear ends him. The accident enrages the already-inflamed driver and results in a fatal confrontation. Stop the Threat host, James B. Towle, and guests Rob Pincus, Kelly Muir and Steve Vandermolen weigh in on this incident and offer their expert comments in a lively discussion.

Giving Them What They Want

Instead of what they deserve. [More]

It figures the reaction is to install a security system that won't be able to get a response out in the time it takes to watch this video. It's New Jersey.

Hey, at least the Bloomberg Bus wouldn't have to add another "victim of gun violence" to it's list.

Think about that: The CSGV/VPC/Brady hive insects would rather this woman endure this brutal beating than be armed --even if she'd ended up dead.  They really would.

Elon's Belgian Waffle

So, your outrage and indignation aside Elon, what did Ann Coulter say in the video that was demonstrably wrong? [More]

I've been saying for years that the millions of members in the NRA, arguably the most armed-to-the-teeth civilian population on the planet, are responsible for fewer homicides and have a lower violent "gun crime" rate than gun-free Japan, to the point where it is statistically negligible. That should prove for all to see it's not the guns, it's the individuals. Anyone care to prove me wrong with valid data?

I understand why the point Coulter raises makes everyone uncomfortable - "R" is the new Scarlet Letter, even though we see it is pervasive in the very quarters that condemn it. Those of us who see how the concept of racism has been so cheapened and devalued by those who exploit it  are no longer afraid.  In truth, the biggest puzzler for me is why victims of real racism aren't out there chastising the opportunistic hustlers.

The problem with boiling things down to race is it obscures root causes. It's cultural. People raised in an environment based on honoring principles of liberty and responsibility are going to reflect social values and behaviors different from those raised in a government dependency environment.

That this so often manifests itself along racial lines tells us much that society as a whole is afraid to address, which suits those moving the chess pieces and pulling the strings just fine.

From the promotional email:

For anyone who reveres and believes in the preservation of the Constitution of the United States, Copperhead is a must see this summer!
Looks interesting. I'll need to find out more.

Too Many Emails, Too Many Tips

I can't keep up with them all.  Slow it down, please?

Truth be known, I'm on all kinds of lists, I visit all the major websites, and generally know about stories before I get individual tips -- and often get dozens sending me links to the same story every day. And I can just never get to them all.

I appreciate the enthusiasm.  Thank you for your participation. But please:  A dozen or more emails from the same person every day times dozens of people, and I'm sorry, but there is only one of me. That I give credit links and email back the link as a regular practice add to the demands on time. That actually keeps me from being able to present more commentary where it can do the most good.

I've been pondering for some time on the best way to say this without seeming like a miserable ingrate, and decided the best way is to just state how it is, figuring reasonable people and friends will understand and want to help. If you do, the best way is to share my GRE links. I see Mike did a post about that the other day, and while it caught me by surprise, he didn't say anything I haven't been thinking about, and talking to close friends about.

Until I make a decision though, please understand if I don't acknowledge all emails and social media messages.  I feel bad about it, because anyone who takes time out of their life to reach out to me deserves a reply.
