One would think that in a city that is over 76 percent Democrat, that has 30,000 members in its teachers union and almost 13,000 employees in its police department, there would be no problem packing a full-blown concert hall, let alone a limited venue like Untitled, where the canceled event had been scheduled to take place. [More]Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes the level of public interest may not be as widespread and intense as some would lead us to believe.

Sandy Hook benefit canceled as low ticket sales point to public apathy
Armed American Radio Redux
I held off on posting about last Sunday's show because the AAR website was having some technical issues. Everything looks in good working order now.
Multi-platinum country recording artist and competitive shooter, Mark Wills showed up in the Crossbreed Holsters Studios as special guest co-host. Together with Mark Walters they spoke to Human Events Guns and Patriots editor and AAR’s Washington editor, Neil McCabe along with all around bad-ass Ernest Emerson of Emerson Knives, David Codrea, Rob Pincus, George Hill-The Mad Ogre and MORE!
How Very "Progressive"
Trayvon Martin continues to be a saint and martyr among the academic elite. The Princeton University Orchestra and the University Concert Jazz Ensemble is set to debut “The Ballad for Trayvon Martin” today, NJ.com reports. [More]Because Princeton students are so in touch with Trayvon's world and social justice:
Undergraduates living on campus will pay $40,170 in annual tuition, plus $13,080 for a room and a full meal plan. These will be tomorrow's connected "leaders."
That means the total cost of a four-year Princeton degree will surpass $200,000.
Huh. Seems there's a lot of "white privilege" going on, particularly with "faculty diversity."
Why do I want to bus in "knockout gamers"?

We're the Only Ones Swapping Enough
Self-entitled lowlife thugs become dangerous when they don't get their way? Who knew? [More]
Then they turn these animals loose on the rest of us.

VFSC Fundraiser
The Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs is holding a fundraiser.
Among other things, they've been taking point on the City of Burlington's attack on preemption, a story summarized in my latest GUNS Magazine "Rights Watch" column.
I've also been documenting this situation in my Gun Rights Examiner column. The latest was here, and there's a list of previous reports at the end.
Bottom line: A handful of volunteers are devoting untold hours of their lives and working very hard to protect the rights of all Vermont gun owners.
If you're such a Vermont gun owner and you haven't--as a bare minimum--educated yourself on the situation there, spread the word to educate those within your sphere of influence, and thrown a few bucks in the kitty to help these volunteers defray basic expenses so they don't also have to pay for the privilege of working on your behalf for free, then, unless there are rare and unique extenuating circumstances, why shouldn't you be considered an ingrate and a deadbeat?

Obey or Be Destroyed
Michael Lawlor, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s criminal justice advisor, said that so far fewer people than expected have registered weapons under the new law. However, he said gun owners should take seriously the consequences of ignoring the law. Disregarding the registration requirements can carry felony charges in some cases, which can make Connecticut residents ineligible to own guns. [More]Well, it looks like Untersekretär Michael here has just dictated the terms of Connecticut gun owners' surrender. Oh, look:
He has also participated in the Connecticut-Pskov partnership within the Russian American Rule of Law Consortium.Well, that explains a lot. I know what I'd tell him.

This Day in History: December 5
In order that the British Prisoners may be kept with more safety than they have been by the Militia and to correct that spirit of desertion which has taken place to a very great degree since the Capture of Cornwallis they are to be removed from their present Cantonments to Lancaster where there are good Barracks picketted in.
