Down the Rabbit Hole

Wouldn't it be something if the same motivation for stonewalling Gunwalker investigations was what allowed the Mexican government to blackmail the administration on a wider range of issues? [More]

My own feeling is, the hole goes even deeper, and meets with all kinds of other tunnels.

Connecticut gubernatorial race dividing gun owners to glee of 'progressives'

The Courant and other outlets have so far not seen fit to publish the photos. Neither has this column, copied on that email, as evidenced by the screenshot accompanying this article. While my motives are based on not wanting to cause personal destruction to someone who should and could be an ally in advancing the right to keep and bear arms, there can be little doubt many of the media outlets, which wouldn't hesitate to run such photos of a non-“progressive” candidate were this a two-man race, feel little inclination to buck a strategy of the man they do back. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column notes there may be motives at play besides a sense of decency for treating a spoiler candidate with kid gloves.  Where Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists are concerned, you can bet on it.

Prosecutors Against Freedom

Naturally, the Walter Duranty Memorial Society loves 'em! [More]

Funny. You'd think "the newspaper of record" with all the resources at its disposal would be able to give us more background information on them than I was able to find from my home office.

Brian Maass has the Scoop

Brian Maass sounds like he could use a scoop, dropping a load over this non-story. [More]

So in other words, Prozi PSH aside, what's being sold is not illegal, and the stupid "law" is just that.

Not that I expect Brian and Colorado media to even notice, let alone cover, another scoop...

A Review of ATF’s Investigation of Jean Baptiste Kingery

I was just forwarded this link. [More]

I can't get it to bring up anything but blank gray pages. Perhaps it is my browser settings and you will have better luck.

Alternatively, I can see it just fine using Google cache.  It's heavily redacted, but it does lead to a question I've never seen officially asked, let alone answered:

How is it ATF didn't violate ITAR arms export prohibitions?

Remember, U.S. Code also includes provisions for “principals” who “induce” or “willfully cause” offenses, so presumably those who did not physically walk guns but nonetheless induced lawbreaking could be in for a world of hurt if caught.

We're to believe ATF Phoenix was essentially a "lone wolf" operation, independent of all the other agencies that normally are integral parts of international operations?  State never knew nothin' 'bout birthin' no transfers?

And neither did these folks?

A Moving Story

GUN BAN HEARING LOCATION MOVED
10.29.14

We have learned that the City of Corvallis has changed the location of its hearing on a proposed ban on loaded firearms in the city to the Majestic Theater. The hearing is scheduled for Nov 3rd at 5.30 PM. The theater is at 115 SW 2nd Ave in downtown Corvallis.

It's imperative that Second Amendment supporters be at this hearing. If this ordinance is passed it will be one more nail in the coffin of our rights and these bans will spread across the state.

Please do all you can to be at this hearing and speak out for gun rights and the Constitution.

To my darling wife,

Hi dear. Compliments of the day! I thank you for the 25+ years of marriage and the two wonderful sons you gave me, but really: How can any man resist the siren charms of Zarababy?

Goodbye.
