Armed American Radio

I'll be joining Mark Walters this afternoon to talk about Nerf bullets, water balloons and whatever else he feels like bringing up.  The program starts at 4 p.m. Eastern, and you can find a station or listen live via the AAR website.

Murdered executive supported ‘gun control’-backing politician

It is not known at this writing is if they knew their killer(s). Also unstated at this time is if Savvas Savopoulos or his wife Amy owned guns, especially in light of the bureaucratic hurdles associated with "legally" owning firearms in the District, and if they did, if that would have made a difference. What is known, but is not being disclosed by mainstream media, is that the executive and his company supported a politician who is a strong proponent of “gun control.” [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes a gun may not have made a difference, but no one has a right to make that choice for another. As for this being "too soon," if left to the antis, the time to explore this further would be "never."

I said my piece about this here. If they're not going to abolish the function -- and they're not -- how will further insulating established stonewallers within a larger and more powerful bureaucracy do anything but invite more abuses?

And Mike had a relevant sentiment he shared with "Gunwalker" whistleblower John Dodson.

The Mask is Coming Off

Radical as it may seem, perhaps it's time we took deadly force off the table for all but the most extreme of circumstances. In some countries, police don't even carry guns during day-to-day patrols and are still able to maintain law and order. [More]
And if our highly-trained, professionals are disarmed, why should we let you keep and bear arms?

This is something I've been pointing out for at least 15 years:

It's know making its way into the "national conversation on guns" with more frequency, and while I know some of you are fine with that, think through what that would mean, including how that does not make you a proponent of "gun control."

As for you "Only Ones" who have no problem coming after us mundanes, the bell is tolling for thee, and to quote a theme song of yours, "what'cha gonna do when they come for you?"

Polyphemus may promise to eat you last, but eat you he intends...

Me, I see such calls from zealots who just don't have the self-control to hold it all in as a good thing. Nothing like their ox getting gored to wake some people up, plus I'm sure the more pragmatic in the gun ban crowd would prefer not to have such plans openly discussed -- yet.

Alert! Alert! Alert! Alert!

OK, fine.  Take a moment and oppose this. If your rep is a waste, find one who isn't, and who can be communicated with independently of exclusionary contact forms.

But for people who ignore much more threatening matters, and use the "don't waste political capital" excuse to avoid leadership in fights they ought to be aggressively involved in, this email warning (with the obligatory donation request) certainly seems breathless.

Especially considering:

So what's all the hysterical urgency really about?
