Thinking Beyond the Grave

In other words, yes, we really do want to take your guns. Maybe not all of them. But a lot of them. [More]
That's pretty ambitious, Josh. Why not start small and see how it works out, plus claim an exclusive for your readers?

Whose guns are you going to take first?  Or did "we" not include "you"?

Telling It Like It Is

Of course he doesn’t know. You know why he doesn’t know? Because he is not, and has never been in his son’s life. He’s a complete failure as a father, he should be embarrassed to even show his face in public. He’s the problem here. [More]

We're the Only Ones All-Seeing Enough

We're free to record back, right? [More]

Noting who ultimately pays for these things -- in more ways than one -- I'm wondering if there's any Consumer Reports-type comparison, just to make sure no one else could provide the same basic functions at a lower cost.  I admit I haven't seen the RFP and the bids (those were done, right?), and the device itself does look pretty innovative and unique.

I gotta wonder what these babies cost (and don't forget all the tie-in systems and accessories!) and if they only sell to "Only Ones." Then again, I guess cost isn't a factor when someone else is paying for them.

The Man with No Name

I admit, with the realization that the two things they want are success and recognition, I've taken to not naming these demonic @$$holes as well. True, it won't do much about the first goal -- we all know what's needed there, so naturally the Opposite Day "progressives" are foaming-at-the-mouth against it. [More]

Strong Cities Network Should Raise Alarms for Liberty Advocates

Assuming the “intelligence” will be ultimately exploitable to build cases involving U.S. citizens, what assurances are there that it will be gained in accordance with individual protections mandated in the Bill of Rights? Not to cast aspersions on member cities like Beirut, but just what “best practices” are acceptable, and will the representatives of our people, that would be the Congress, have unfettered oversight of the process? What further protections will there be against foreign law influencing decisions required to comport with “the supreme Law of the Land,” something more than one “progressive” Supreme Court Justice has expressed an interest in considering flexible? My Kind of Town, Chicago Is...

Someone in Chicago has been shot every 2.84 hours this year for a total of 2,349 shootings during the period of January 1, 2015 to October 6, 2015, according to crime stats published by the Chicago Tribune. [More]
Those are some stats. They kind of speak volumes about "gun control," don't they?

Not so fast.  "Authorized Journalists" to the rescue!

Bloomberg PoliticsThe Washington Post. U.S. News. ABC News.

In short, without the edicts it would be worse, Chicago has eased up on those edicts, they don't have as many "mass shootings," it's tough to get complete data, and my personal favorite, because it implies we all need to adopt "the Chicago way," the criminals get their guns from places with more lax laws.

In a nutshell, if only they would disarm you and me.

Forget it Jake, it's Chi-Town.
