Not Your Granddad's 4473

What? Your granddad didn't have a 4473? [More]

Well, they've changed it again, and AmmoLand brings us a comprehensive analysis of just the kinds of information they're looking for. Included, along with a lot of "t"-crossing and "i"-dotting, are things like warning patients and stoners that we don't need to accommodate any stinking state laws.

A change with exploitation potential is replacing "gender" with "sex." Is that the administration's not-so-subtle warning that how you "identify" is restricted to public restrooms? And which box is someone in transition supposed to check?

And not new, but still baffling, is the race/ethnicity section.  Why only "HispanicLatino"? And I'm still wondering why people of Middle East heritage are required to check "White" when  their lands of origin (save Egypt) are in Asia. Won't that negate the certification that "answers in Section A are true, correct and complete"?

Ah well, if I expected any of this to make sense, there wouldn't be a damn form in the first damn  place. Since there is, you can see the entire abomination here.

  1. I've always wondered why someone born in South Africa (or anywhere on the continent) and who has relocated to the US isn't considered an African-American. Their place of birth is in Africa thus....

  2. David,

You're forgetting the rest of Arab North Africa, some of the very most Northern Sudan, and of course, some of the archipelagos closest to the North African coastline........but I understand your point.....

  3. I'm specifically referring to the Middle East which, aside from Egypt, is in Asia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East

  4. David-
If everything happening in America today actually made sense, you probably wouldn't have much to write about.
That would explain why you're busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest.
