You bet the “amnesty” being foisted on America by vote-pandering Democrats and cheap labor Republicans is an issue with a special threat for gun owners and one intended to “fundamentally transform” the nation. [More]As a comment poster noted, “If you cannot see the proof, a tank running over you will not convince you either.” And this may just result in tanks.

Demand for More Evidence Only Helps NRA Ignore Amnesty Danger to Gun Rights
Fallen Gladiator
Rest in peace, Lee Reherman. [More]
He lived a few blocks from where I used to in Manhattan Beach. I got to know him from when I worked with him for a few years on fundraising with fireworks. He was helping low-income kids get martial arts training along with the needed discipline and caring adult guidance that went with it.
He wasn't just muscle. He handled the books for that nonprofit, had an MBA and at one time was going for a doctorate in economics.
I'd lost touch with him, fewer than a dozen emails over the years, but got a pleasant jolt watching the Star Trek reboot, when the security guard he played confronted Simon Pegg's "Scotty" and I immediately recognized who it was. That's pretty surreal if it's totally outside your life experience -- to go to the movies and suddenly see a closeup of someone you know on the screen. At least that's my excuse for exclaiming "That's Lee!"
Good man. Sad news.

I guess if the media insists on calling invaders "refugees," they're going to continue missing the real story that's right in front of them.

Because Ignorance of the Law is No Excuse
Jeez, guys, all they want to know is what the rules are. Your refusal to share them is what made of federal case of this. [More]
Don't view this as a joke.
View it as an in-your-face insult from arrogant enforcers confident that they'll never be held personally accountable.

Not to Stump for Trump, BUT...
Mark DeMoss, who for many years served as chief of staff to Falwell Sr. and considered the televangelist a second father, said in an interview that it was a mistake for Falwell Jr. to endorse Trump. He said the Republican front-runner’s insult-laden campaign has been a flagrant rejection of the values Falwell Sr. espoused and Liberty promotes on its campus. [More]And what kind of values does Mark DeMoss espouse?
DeMoss continued: “I have trouble defending a position that says there should be no restrictions on any guns or ammunition, and this slippery slope argument that if you allow the slightest bit of [gun] control, then that’s the start of taking away all our freedoms. And yeah, I know all about Trump's troublesome past statements. He disavows them now, which many understandably don't trust, so I recommend continuing to press him on unequivocal and substantive commitments that he won't be able to weasel-word his way out of if he reverses polarity.

RUBIO WINS MINNESOTA! [More]Oh, I'm sorry, I meant to use this link...
I'm surprised none of the reports I've found so far mention the open primary being a factor...
The O'Reilly Factor
The documents, which record testimony given last year, confirm that the ex-couple’s teenage daughter told a court-appointed forensic examiner that she witnessed O’Reilly “choking her mom” as he “dragged her down some stairs” by the neck. [More]The Bill O'Reilly who supports gun confiscation in emergencies? And who then sneers at people who anticipate confiscation, telling them "That's your problem"?
The Bill O'Reilly who called registration and banning firearms like the AK "reasonable"?
That "gun control"-cheerleading pinhead?
Say, has he heard about the Lautenberg domestic violence lifetime gun ban?
We're the Only Ones Droning On Enough
Police made the argument that armed drones in law enforcement could be an effective weapon for public safety. [More]Of course they did. The guy at the monitor with the controller wants to make it home at the end of his shift to play more "Call of Duty." Besides, imagine how much fun it would be strafing dogs.
The inputs for a shoot/don't shoot action should be interesting. They'll make the decision process inputs and sensory capabilities public, right?
On the plus side, if this gets green-lighted, it opens the door for an "in common use at the time" argument -- not that they'd ever accept it.
I'm also wondering what it would take to lure one of these babies into a place where it could be intercepted, captured and re-purposed.
