We're the Only Ones Plausible Enough

According to police, Halloran confiscated about a dozen BB guns on Jan. 17, following an incident during which the guns were apparently used by kids to shoot from a window. Their mother apparently asked Halloran to take the guns. The location of where the incident took place is redacted from the report. [More]
Why was it redacted? What was the relationship to where she would ask him to do that?
When initially asked by investigators what happened, Halloran didn't recall.
Yeah, I mean, who would remember something like taking a dozen BB guns?
The guns were thrown out, with the exception of the gun involved in the incident, according to the report.
Sure they were. It's not like anything stinks about this whole story or anything.

I also like how the report says the city "decided against punishing Halloran more severely because the officer has a clean personnel record" after letting readers know "Unlike a suspension, which appears on an officer's permanent civil-service record, punishment days do not."

There's Citizens and There's Über Citizens

Maryland lawmaker's daughter using his car to drive for Lyft [More]
Yeah, I'm sure Old Bloody Hands Elijah Cummings needs to worry about school expenses.

In my previous job, I had a company car. Had they found out I let one of my kids regularly use it, especially in a money-making venture, I'd have been fired, and rightfully so.

The other thing this affects is taxes -- I would need to do periodic reports with mileage calculated based on IRS rates and distances and I don't remember all what else,. That needed to be reported to make sure everything was compliant, Uncle Sugar wasn't giving better than he got, and to make sure I wasn't getting any free rides. It doesn't sound like she's been doing this long enough to where an audit would show falsification, but then again, these bastards are so arrogantly unethical, who knows?

If there's not already, there needs to be a hard and fast policy that the people's cars are not to be driven by anyone except the person to whom they're assigned. My question is, there's not already? Really?

I Guess That's as Good a Reason As Any to Kill Your Child

Court documents said Vera had an abortion because she got nervous when Child Protective Services showed up at school in February to question her and the student about their relationship. [More]
Big deal, pedophobes and haters -- she's just so "progressive," she's ahead of her time. Besides, maybe she identifies as a teenager, and that's what's important.

She appears to be enough of a vacuous narcissist for that. And it looks like she got the attitude that she's the only one from papa:
She is the daughter of former Houston police officer Jaime Vera, a source told Heavy.com. Her father was fired by the police department in 2011 after a 13-year career that was clouded in controversy.
Anybody expecting to be surprised when the "approving" family of the boy is revealed?

Attention, Troublemakers

Vile Stuff, Indeed

...Trump peddling racist conspiracy garbage about a federal judge (Curiel was born and raised in Indiana)... [More]
Yeah, to Mexican immigrant parents, and he was appointed by Barack Obama, which "libertarian" Reason somehow did not see fit to acknowledge. Raising questions about proven sympathies is hardly unreasonable.

It's past time someone put checks and balances spotlight on the black-robed Nazgûl that have been dictating from the bench with impunity.

I wonder if Damon Root has any articles condemning Mexico's immigration policies as "racist." What a cheap shot from the "progressive" playbook.

What I don't wonder is if he or any of his like-minded colleagues would be able to directly answer my challenge instead of changing the subject or resorting to anecdotes, platitudes and unsubstantiated dismissals:

If you maintain open borders and a pathway to citizenship will not result in giving "gun control" Democrats overwhelming majorities, let's see the numbers and how you derived them.

They can't.  Neither can Grover, or Wayne, or Alan, or...

And Barack and Hillary are counting on that.
