We're the Only Ones Color-Coordinated Enough
Amid a staffing shortage and regular budget deficits of $250 million, Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on cosmetic changes for his deputies’ uniforms ... Changing the color of the belt buckles from silver to gold will make all the little pieces of brass in the uniform, such as the tie clips, lapel pins and six-pointed star badges all the same color ... [More]Well, then, as long as the "good cause" is better than, say, what they require to approve a concealed carry permit for a non-connected dirt person...

They were sentenced to a year in prison with all but 30 days suspended, a $1000 fine and 3 years of unsupervised probation, each, but they are appealing the convictions based on rights to free speech under the First Amendment and a corollary recognized by Maryland’s constitution. The Range was There First
I am a member of Peacemaker and a resident of WV. In this morning’s Martinsburg Journal “Newspaper” this story was printed. Now fact number 1 according to the “newspaper” the range has been open since 2010. #2,The Goldstein’s bought their property in 2011. #3 The complaint wasn’t filed until August 2015. [More]
According to a Peacemakers supporter, the Goldsteins bought their Virginia property in December 2011, after the Peacemakers gun range had been established. The Goldsteins didn’t file a complaint until September 2015.That means they either didn't do due diligence -- or they did and knew exactly what they were doing.
UPDATE: The newspaper's information appears inaccurate. I was able to track property tax records online to 2010, which appears to be as far back as the Frederick County Treasurer's website goes.
Here's the filing --note you may have to try a few times, as it's on my One Drive account and multiple people trying to access it may crash it.

Bull Sessions
In a rare confluence of agreement, both the NRA and the Brady Campaign supported the project, seeing it as a way, on paper at least, to reduce violent crime that appeared to be spiraling out of control. The fact that it would require that officials of the federal government, namely the DOJ and its enforcement arm the BATFE, to “coordinate” with local law enforcement didn’t bother either the Brady bunch or the NRA. Said Wayne LaPierre, the NRA’s Executive Vice President: “By prosecuting [criminals violating gun laws, it] prevent[s] the drug dealer, the gang member, and the felon from committing the next crime … leave the good people alone and lock up the bad people and dramatically cut crime.” [More]As a sidenote, I'm grateful to WarOnGuns Correspondent Carlos Perdue for making sure comments over at my piece aren't dominated by those who fail to grasp the basics.
