Score One for the Good Guys

A Republican-controlled state Senate committee has killed a Charlottesville City Council General Assembly priority in outlawing paramilitary units such as those who gathered for Unite the Right August 12th. Senator Louise Lucas (D-Portsmouth) carried legislation from Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring as well that would have made a Class-5 felony to a person who “teaches or demonstrates to any other person the use, application, or making of any firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, knowing or having reason to know or intending that such training will be employed for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder.” [More]
It's a temporary reprieve. Let the demographics change a bit more -- they'll get it through.

The case against Mr Allan was dropped when it emerged evidence on a computer disc - which police had looked through - showed messages from the alleged victim pestering him for "casual sex". Virginia ‘Domestic Terrorism’ Bill is really a Rights-Trampling Power Grab

Understanding that the legislation is a Democrat response to Charlottesville, it should come as no surprise that the intent is to take attention away from threats imported through “progressive” cultural and political “fundamental transformation” policies and point a finger and assumption of guilt toward the native-born. [More]
In other words, domestic enemies get to decide who the domestic terorists are.

Guess who...?
