We're the Only Ones Toying with Your Rights Enough

New York woman faces 25 years in prison over felony weapons charges — after police find cache of fake guns in her home ... A rapper named Crucial told the Eagle, "We do videos with [the guns] as props. I didn't know you could actually get in trouble with all that. That's wild. They're fake." [More]

And the city sleeps safer...

Welcome to the world of "commonsense gun safety laws," Crucial.

Lemme guess: Everyone you know who votes votes Democrat...?

We're the Only Ones Second-Place Enough

Henrico police ended their news release by encouraging residents to always contact the police immediately by calling 911, so that first responders can be on the way, and to share clothing descriptions, the direction of travel, and anything else specific to an active crime.  [More]

The first responder was there, and as far as sharing descriptions, why is it they're always uniformly incomplete? I like the way the crook had to pull his pants up running out the door.

I also like private home surveillance if it's self-contained and no security company can release footage under subpoena. I'd like it better if you could push a button and have wall-mounted machine guns open fire.

California Sheriff Refuses 'Absurd' Order to Release Murderers and Rapists Due to Pandemic [More]

Any order that conflicts with the Preamble is unconstitutional on its face, so good for the sheriff.

Interesting that the commie bedwetter judge cites "deliberate indifference." We've seen plenty of that around here.

Not Rolling Over This Time

Rather than rolling over for the anti-gun Attorney General, however, Smith & Wesson fired back with litigation challenging the subpoena and maintaining that Grewel’s actions are an “abuse of his position” undertaken “to suppress a political viewpoint with which he disagrees.” [More]

Remember the "man in a dress" post? Same goes for turbans.

UPDATE: Blogger has been messing around with the publishing tool, I believe they call it "upgrading," and it has complicated my life immeasurably in terms of stuff I used to do not working anymore and new stuff I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do with. Bottom line, I am moving yesterday's article announcement here because apparently, you could only read the quote, link, and comment if you accessed this as an individual post, and they did not display if you were just at the homepage url. When I went into the publishing tool I saw that somehow a line had inserted that hid everything below the photo.

I know, "the gun went off." Beats me what happened and why, I just work here.

Lord knows how many reads the article missed yesterday because of that, so I'm placing it here to try and make up for that.

Have I mentioned how much I hate change?

Idiot Still Useful -- For Now

During an interview on "Deadline," Schmidt -- a Never-Trumper who cofounded The Lincoln Project -- compared supporters of President Donald Trump marching in Washington, D.C., over the weekend to brownshirts from Fascist Italy or Nazi Germany in the “1920s or 1930s.” [More]

UPDATE -- Speaking of "qualified immunity":
The bottom line is that if you are injured by a vaccine or other “countermeasure” designated by the DHHS Secretary as intended for a pandemic or bioterrorism threat (Covid-19, Pandemic Flu, Anthrax, Smallpox) your options for receiving any financial benefit are very limited.
Now shut up and take your damn shot.

Smelling a Rat?

The ATF obtained the information about the customers from two sources that the agency subpoenaed.  Stamps.com turned over the shipping information of Polymer80 customers to the ATF when the agency served them the subpoena. Polymer80’s credit card processing company, Authorize.net, also turned over credit card information to the ATF. ... In our opinion Polymer 80 and their customer's got ratted-out to ATF by Stamps.com and Authorize.net. [More]

The report brings a lot of information to light that no one else is reporting on and is invaluable for helping understand how the nets are being cast. That said, when presented with a subpoena, what should they have done?
