Funny, What They Can Investigate When They Want To

And it looks like no shortage of Good Americans are happy to come forth with tips and snips!

Reaping the Whirlwind

Project Veritas: PBS Counsel Says Trump Supporters’ Children Should Be Taken, Put in ‘Re-Education Camps’: “Americans are so fucking dumb. You know, most people are dumb,” the man says. “It’s good to live in a place [like D.C.] where people are educated and know stuff. Could you imagine if you lived in one of these other towns or states where everybody’s just stupid?” [More]

This is why I say bloody ignorance is more dangerous. If this provincial dolt had a clue, he would realize why confiscating children of armed people will guarantee a response that he is not only completely unprepared for but that he can't even begin to imagine.

Can We Count on the Only Ones to 'Just Follow Orders'?

In the aftermath of an insurrection, we need to know whose side police officers are on. [More]

Did this guy hyperventilate this much about "autonomous zones"?

Then there's this bit of editorial manipulation:

"Black people ... Black bodies ... white supremacy ... white supremacist..."

Not just style, AP style...

Putting the 'Barf' in Deborah Barfield Berry

To help heal racial wounds, Black national anthem would become America's hymn under proposal [More]

And if I choose to take a knee, what kind of "racial wounds" may I expect?

Nice of this overt propaganda paean to provide the lyrics... I also like the photo of the "Pro-Donald Trump rioter" -- pity the photographer couldn't snap him, you know, rioting.

Note how this is posted under "News" rather than "Opinion"? "Ethical" USA Today/Gannett doesn't think they have to hide it anymore.

Let's Be Careful Out There

The potential security threats focus on possible armed protests in Richmond on Sunday, as well as the General Assembly’s annual Lobby Day on Monday and the presidential inauguration two days later. [More]

If you plan on going to Lobby Day, the inauguration, or any of the other state capitol events, be mindful of provocateurs trying to draw you in to unplanned chaos.

UPDATE - This is what is being called a "security threat":

I wonder if they'll be allowed to keep such dangerous extremist sentiment posted.

Cutting Edge

 Received via email:

I'll update this with a link if they post details today. I've heard (but can't confirm) that preemption does not apply to knives, so I have no idea if this will come with potential "patchwork quilt" traps.

Ah, never mind: Knife Rights has the complete story.

Pledge Takers

As a responsible American gun owner, I strive to enhance the public perception of gun ownership... [More]

I'm afraid that depends on the ability to counter the lies. Look for Pledge Takers to be attacked with the same "extremist" smears as Oath Keepers, and look for avenues to counter that being increasingly sealed off.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't strive to exemplify these deals for those within our spheres of influence (with qualified boundaries on that "cooperation with law enforcement officials to reduce criminal activity" part). I'm just saying that won't stop the domestic enemies from demonizing and dehumanizing us and trying to destroy and then erase us, which is where we find ourselves.

The Master Race

Who better to lead the DOJ Civil Rights division than a lunatic black supremacist? [More]

I disagree with Tucker Carlson. I hope she's approved.

We're not getting out of this mess by accepting less overtly objectionable nominees who can mask their radicalism with an air of "moderation."

That and "Squeeze"...

Life...uh...Finds a Way

“We are not talking to Facebook and Google about whether or not to introduce a complete change where all their business models are completely upended overnight,” he declared. “We are not asking their permission.” [More]

Someone get this man a bodyguard.

Purging from the Ranks

The rise of extremism in the ranks is seen as a "crisis issue" but the military's efforts to weed out radicals are "haphazard" at best. [More]

Can't have active-duty personnel who believe in their oaths and the UCMJ...

'Personnel' Seems Unacceptably Specist

In support of an inclusive campus culture, we are pleased to announce that staff may now choose to share their pronouns with their supervisors/HR representatives in their e-Personnel file.  In addition, staff may select to share their pronouns with other UI systems (e.g., ITS Help Desk Tickets). Technofascism

For their own good, the unbelievers must be forced onto the boat; resistance must be made futile. [More]

Who says you can't predict the future? That's from 1998.

Guess Whose Fault It Is

A Democratic congressman from Illinois who was forced to go into lockdown during last week’s deadly siege at the Capitol announced Tuesday he has tested positive for COVID-19. U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider has become at least the third House Democrat to announce a COVID-19 infection since the lockdown. [More]

Breaking Through Old Barriers

Missouri hits record levels of gun violence in 2020 [More]

If that doesn't justify disarming you and me, nothing will!

At least we ought to see forearm violence declining soon.

Yeah, It's About Like That

[Open in new tab if too small to read]

It took me a second to grok this, as regulars know my sentiments about following "sports."

About the only thing it's missing is a "fact-checker" statement claiming conspiracy allegations are "baseless."

But since it mentions "the Crimson Tide," it won't hurt to have this playing in the background...

'Lawful Resistance'

Whether we like it or not, what matters today is the ability to impose your will upon your circumstances: in other words, the possession of force majeure in your personal context.  [More]

A friend proposes the following easy-to-do/nothing-to-lose project that will cost you five minutes and a stamp:

Tanks for the Memories

“It’s a poor choice of timing to have military equipment like that in a residential neighborhood,” resident James Woodard said. “Obviously they have more money than sense.” [More]

Citing 'censorship' concerns, North Idaho internet provider blocks Facebook, Twitter [More]

Does citing "net neutrality" sound Orwellian to anyone else? (And yes, I'm aware that applies to ISPs. Tell that to Comcast.)

Stopping the Signal

Cumulus Media, which employs some of the most popular right-leaning talk-radio hosts in the United States, has told its on-air personalities to stop suggesting that the election was stolen from President Donald Trump - or else face termination. [More]

No doubt they're terrified advertisers will be spooked into bolting.

Diminishing Returns

Over the last few weeks, I have lost literally hundreds of "friends" and "followers" on Facebook and Twitter. What I can't tell is if they deactivated their accounts on their own or had their accounts deactivated for them in "the purge."

As the only reason I even spend any time at all on those platforms is to promote my articles, I'm weighing my options. I've tried the alternatives but they never produced enough "bang for the buck" to justify the effort.
