Meanwhile, Back at Red's Trading Post

Ryan Gets a Visit:
The ATF and has since used this as an opportunity to build their case against us. Scrutinizing everything and continuing to make remarks like, "I am going to have to put this in my report".

There intentions were not to bring us into compliance as they have claimed in the past but it was to specifically try and drum up violations in an attempt to paint us in a bad light before the Judge.
Vendetta? What vendetta? Certainly not from die Helden der BATFU ...

Ryan Goes to the SHOT Show
I got to see Acting ATF Director “Maximum Mike” Sullivan, I happened to be speaking with a reporter when I looked up Sullivan and about 8 or 9 other guys in suits came walking by…all with hot dogs (I am not kidding).
Wieners. Why am I not surprised?

Macrolying for Microstamping

A proposed state bill requiring all new handguns to be stamped with microscopic identification tags could significantly decrease violence and shut down the illegal gun market if passed, proponents said in a news conference Tuesday.

No it could not either.

Good Lord, are these despicable creatures so incapable of approaching the truth that even the lies they spew need to be whoppers?

That's a stupid question, when Mike "Der" Feuer is involved.

From Your Warm, Live Fingers

If you are stopped by police in Kansas, don’t be surprised if the officer pulls out a little black box and takes your fingerprints.
This reminds me of a little project we did at "ATF Night" several years back.

Then Los Angeles Councilman Mike ("Der") Feuer had proposed requiring ammunition purchasers to submit a fingerprint. I brought an ink pad and a sheet of paper, and several dozen of us in attendance made our impressions and signed our names to a letter asking him to guess which finger we had used.

A Hint of Bender

I listened to Homeland Security Czar (how come they never say "fuhrer"?) Michael Chertoff tell us ordinary citizens "to remain alert and to report any suspicious activity" in the wake of the London bombings.

Here's a little test. Stop what you're doing right now and see how long it takes you to find a phone number for someone at the Abteilung der Homelandsicherheit who you can report suspicious activity to.

I wonder if Mr. Chertoff has been tipped off about all those folks from God-knows-where crossing the border every day while his boss disparages those who are remaining alert and reporting suspicious activities as "vigilantes."

Aside from the blather he was droning on about, I found myself distracted by Chertoff's voice--it reminded me of someone. Now that I see his picture, I realize who.

Think Your Congressthing Will Endorse THIS Resolution?

What do you think the chances are that our current Congress would approve the following language? The Continental Congress did, back in 1775.

"We have counted the cost of this contest, and find nothing so dreadful as voluntary slavery. Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we have received from our gallant ancestors. . . . We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them, if we basely entail hereditary bondage upon them. . . . [We are] with one mind resolved to die freemen rather than to live slaves." --Thomas Jefferson and John Dickinson, Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Their Taking up Arms

I’d recommend sending this to your representative to ask, but it would probably scare the hell out of them and get turned over to Die Abteilung der Homelandsicherheit.
