We're the Only Ones Gunrunning to Mexico Enough
According to federal records obtained by the ABC-7 I-Team, Bustamante was arrested on the theft charges March 2. He was accused of selling six government handguns, three government shotguns and a pair of government binoculars without authorization. [More]Wait a minute--"Only Ones" are involved in this? What happened to those damned American gun shows...?

Damned American gun shows...
Among the weapons seized were more than 230 long and short guns, 60 grenades and rocket launchers, as well as trucks and communication equipment.[More]So that's why all those unlicensed dealers have been raising their grenade prices on me...y'know, if we would only enact a domestic ban on semi-autos, deserting members of the Mexican military and police would fall right into line.

Esta es Mi Fiesta y Lloraré si Quiero
More than a dozen gunmen sealed off a street in the violent border city of Ciudad Juárez and opened fire on a house where high school students were having a party, killing 13 people, officials said Sunday. [More]Tú también llorarías si te ocurriese a ti.

Como se Dice "Photo Op"?
The cache of 540 rifles, 165 grenades, 500,000 rounds of ammunition and 14 sticks of TNT were seized at a house in Reynosa...Damned American gun shows.
That's where I get all my grenades and TNT sticks. From the table right next to the "Body-Piercing Done Here" AR-15 T-shirts, you know, the one that also sells the pricey elk jerky and Saddam playing cards.
You can see video here, and pictures here.

A Free Market Solution
One group in the border city of Ciudad Juarez pledged last week to "clean our city of these criminals" and said their mission was to "end the life of a criminal every 24 hours." [More]I'm trying to find the downside here.
The government that wants them disarmed isn't stopping the victimization, and is often in partnership with the gangs. What are people supposed to do under these circumstances? I'd be tempted to go all Guatemalan myself.
I guess it's time for my obligatory summation:
Damned American gun shows.
Curses! Foiled Again! has more.

We're the Only Ones Exporting Enough
A veteran Los Angeles police officer who runs a security firm in Central America is being investigated by federal officials for allegedly smuggling guns and ammunition. [More]No wonder the "Only Ones" want to close down those damned American gun shows.
Not that they offer any real competition...

Whose Paranoid brings us some explosive facts. [More]

The Stopification of Guns
President Bush said yesterday that the United States should work to stop the movement of guns across our southern border into Mexico. At the same time, the president said Americans could help Mexico by using fewer illegal drugs. [More]Every time I start to think the "Vote Freedom First President" can't possibly be as stupid as he comes across, he comes out and says something that makes me think "Yeah, he probably is."

Meanwhile, South of the Border in Sarah Brady Paradise...
A gang of about 20 men armed with assault rifles robbed a train in the western Mexican state of Michoacan and carted off some of its freight, the state prosecutor's office said Saturday...Via Ed, who writes:
...the thieves may have been after drums of pseudoephedrine, a chemical used in the illegal manufacture of methamphetamines... [More]
Gee, I thought that when my purchase of Pseudophed at my local drugstore was restricted that the drug trade in methampetamines would disappear. See any parallels?Maybe if we just got rid of those damned American gun shows...?

Bulletproof
The company’s customers include politicians, royalty and movie stars. And don't forget crime bosses.
There's a difference, right? Still, I'm glad those causing and abetting the problem--those with routine access to armed protection--are more immune to the effects of their actions than the disarmed populace. I mean, what's the point of being elite if you're not better than everybody else?
Y'know, none of this would be necessary if we could just ban those damned American gun store and shows. I'm sure that's where those "drug assassins" are getting their "rocket launchers and grenades" from, aren't you?
Because if we can't believe BATFU, who can we believe?
