Guest Commentary: Understanding Snuffy

[Paul W. Davis wrote to me about my latest Snuffy Pfleger post, and gave me permission to share his thoughts through WarOnGuns--DC]

A bit of history is in order here. With regard to Snuffy Pfleger's on-going campaign, we ought to understand that is has always been the Catholic Church's position that they are to be the predominate influence in government. Unfortunately, virtually all the Protestant denominations hold the same view. It was only in this country, and after the Revolution that the Baptist (who are not Protestant) doctrines of Liberty of the Conscience and the invalidity of the State church took hold and thus coercion of belief and the government funding and support of churches were effectively banned.

What Snuffy is doing is with the blessing of the Catholic Church, otherwise he would have been stopped after the first time he did it. We must remember that this is the same Catholic Church that supports illegal immigration, and has supported the Jesuit "liberation theology" that was nothing more than Marxism fronted by Catholic religion.

Please remember that the Dark Ages took place when the Catholic Church was at the height of its power and influence. You can bet your bottom dollar that the Catholic Church would very much like to regain that position in the world. Guess who stands in the way of that?

Remember, the Catholic Church, like the Communists and Fascists, were and are able to keep their populations subjugated by three primary means:

1. Ignorance
2. Illiteracy
3. Disarmament of private citizens.

Ignorance means that the people have no knowledge that there is a LORD God that calls everyone into accountability (including the Pope). If people know that, they refuse to blindly obey and decide for themselves how they ought to obey God.

Illiteracy means that the people cannot read and write and thus are disempowered to learn better. The Catholic Church maintained its charade by banning the reading of the Scriptures. The Communists maintain the charade by banning all writings contrary to Marxism (of which the Bible is primary). Do you remember reading about the book burnings of the Nazis? The reason these folks do this is because their doctrine (belief) cannot stand the light of day and the scrutiny of people who will settle for nothing less than the truth. Remember, when you dissect what they believe you will find that the emperor has no clothes. They cannot stand that as people will turn against them.

Disarmament means that, failing the other two methods, they can kill everyone who will not conform -- with impunity, just like they have done for centuries.

I own guns for two primary reasons:

1. As an American citizen it is my birthright. Giving up one's birthright for no good reason is not smart as Easu demonstrates. Yes, my birthright is not equal to the one Easu gave up, but it is nonetheless a decent and good birthright. Why should I give it up?

2. I cannot find anywhere in the Scripture where the ownership and peaceful carry of any weapon is expressly forbidden. I can find many places where men of God carried weapons and God blessed them. I also find places where, due to specific circumstances, the LORD forbade the carrying of a weapon, but not generally. What I am told is that I am not to put my trust in my guns, or in myself, but in the LORD God. But this has always been true, no matter the time in history. I find that the LORD used the weapons of King David's mighty men to accomplish great feats in battle, but they trusted in the LORD God for what they were able to accomplish -- not in the weapons they carried.

I have a third reason (not so primary) for owning guns -- I simply like and enjoy them. I have very few things that I enjoy, and owning and using the guns the LORD allows me to have is one of them.

All things considered, why should I give them up?

Again, why should anyone listen to the likes of Snuffy Pfleger? If we know our history, we can discern with some certainty what he and his ilk are after -- and it is not good.

In Christ,

Paul W. Davis

Papal Bull

Two U.S. Catholic professors who authored what many consider to be a rigorous defense of Catholic teaching on capital punishment say that Pope Francis’ new teaching on the subject appears to be “contradicting scripture, tradition, and all previous popes.” And, he may be “committing a doctrinal error.” [More]
"May be"?

I've given up on illusions that the guy is merely wrong.

I will confess I have mixed feelings on the matter -- not because I feel sorry for monsters, but because any power the state can use against one person it can use against me and mine, and the folks in charge just don't impress me as being all that trustworthy with ultimate power.

Fortnight for Freedom?

"The standing USCCB resolution supporting the criminalization of handgun possession is a wretched mark of darkness on the American Catholic episcopacy.  Law-abiding American citizens need and use handguns to protect life from terrorists and other criminals.  American Catholic bishops operate under the dark cloud of the resolution." [More]
They're also abetting the cultural terraforming that will set the stage for their martyrdom and drag a lot of us along with them.

Let Us Spray

Survivors and witnesses said they were overcome with panic and fear during and after the shootings. Witnesses reported the gunman sprayed rounds while reloading and cursing ... A witness who lives close to Catholic Charities and who did not want to be identified said he watched the chaos unfold from his front yard as the suspect, carrying a large-caliber revolver, shot a man repeatedly in a front yard on the west side of Fulton Street north of Nevada Avenue. Then he stopped and calmly ejected spent shell casings from the weapon and reloaded near a bus stop south of Nevada. [More]
Aside from the obvious fact that Catholic Charities is busily importing Islamist influences, my main question is: Jerry Miculek notwithstanding, how the HELL did this loser "spray" with a revolver?

And Oh. My. GOD:
Using a speed loader, he fired off 16 rounds in four locations in less than a minute...
Unbelievable! We must close the deadly speed loader loophole!

What a punk-- murdering unarmed people and then letting himself be arrested. May all the violent, racist retards be as cowardly as he.

@Pontifex Tear Down This Wall!

Pope Francis Rips Capitalism, American Immigration Policy at Mexican Border [More]
How many "undocumented migrants" and refugees is the Vatican City-state taking in?  Because groups like Catholic Charities/U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops sure are working overtime spreading 'em around everywhere else.

And while the Swiss Guard is holding on to their military arms, this is the predominant view for the rest of us...

UPDATE: Guess who the walls were built to keep out...

The Pilgrim's Progress

Sanctuary!
“The Church in the United States knows like few others the hopes present in the hearts of these ‘pilgrims.’ . . . Offer them the warmth of the love of Christ and you will unlock the mystery of their heart. I am certain that, as so often in the past, these people will enrich America and its Church.” [More]
Heck, what American doesn't like pilgrims?  And he's right, you know, at least about that "enriching the Church" part:
Immigration from Latin American countries has kept Catholic number stable in recent years, and 39 percent of American immigrants are Catholic.
Now that the hemorrhaging has stopped and they're stabilized, the birthrates'll have things climbing in no time.

And don't worry about that "wall of separation" forcing all Americans to bear burdens that will benefit the Church. Prozis only bring that up when they want to go after conservative value issues.

Communionist Manifesto

US Catholic bishops received a challenging to-do list Monday as they opened their national assembly - notably to support immigrants and refugees, extend the campaign to curtail clergy sex abuse and work harder to combat gun violence. [More]
So they want Congress to make laws supporting the establishment of their religious beliefs...?

Ever since Francis told his atheist pal that Jesus was just a man and never physically resurrected, I'm wondering just what their religious beliefs really are...

Papist Smear

Northam appointee made anti-Catholic jokes and derogatory attacks on social media [More]
That's because she knows Catholics won't cut her head off, which partially explains why she lays off the religion of peace.

And no surprise, she's also a rape enabler.

Pincer Movement

Solutions To Gun Violence Can’t Be Kicked Down Road [More]
No, but disarmed victims sure can be. Right into the pit.

Anybody see a "comments" section to respond?

He admits he knows nothing about guns and demonstrates he knows nothing about the Second Amendment, yet presumes authority over what's necessary for the security of a free State.

According to these virtue-oozing subversives, the answer lies in cultural terraforming. Check out the "Catholic Charities" entry on pg. 26 of James Simpson's  essential "Red-Green Axis."

Any "single issuers" ready to take the challenge? How about you "saviors"?

Whether useful idiots like this sanctimonious ignoramus are in on the plan or not, those directing it from high places certainly know what it is they're serving.

Is the Pope Catholic?

Prominent clergy, scholars accuse Pope Francis of heresy in open letter [More]
Say it ain't so!

The thought strikes, if you burn him at the stake and put it on pay-per-view, you could pay for the wall.

Aid and Comfort

Pope sends aid to migrants stranded at the US border [More]
Add a "pathway to citizenship" and this "Catholic leader" ought to get a lifetime achievement award for solidifying Democrat rule, meaning full speed ahead on abortions.

Lessons in 'Democracy'

Georgetown students vote overwhelming in favor of $27 fee for slavery reparations [More]
A Catholic school eh?  So is this kind'a like buying indulgences?

Daddy, we've got another fee, you capitalist racist.

Just What the Doxxer Ordered

Dartmouth professor approves of ‘doxxing’ Covington Catholic students [More]
Everything about this smirking punk screams pussy who was afraid to stand up for himself as a young man and who now takes revenge via ideological jabs that keep him protected from meatspace repercussions.

And he's even insulating himself from virtual responses.

I've never endorsed "doxxing" because of the very real danger for fatal results. Those who do it are sadistic cowards of the lowest order.

"Toxic masculinity" is the province of  biological males that are incompetent at being men in the traditional moral sense of the word.

Sister Act

A group of 11 Catholic groups came together to purchase stock in Smith & Wesson. The group purchased 200 shares, the minimum number required to for shareholders to demand reports from the company. Now, they want the gun manufacturer to provide a report that details what the company is doing to promote "gun safety measures" and "produce safer gun and gun products." [More]
And while you're disarming, make sure you also welcome the stranger!

Take This, All of You, and Beat It, for This is My Bodyguard

An armed security guard associated with staunch anti-gun and nationally known social activist, Father Michael Pfleger, was arrested on May 27 outside St. Sabina’s Roman Catholic Church on the South Side where Pfleger is a senior pastor.  [More]
Snuffy a hypocrite? Oh, go on...

Interesting, that he resorts to the Bart Simpson defense...

About Those Powers and Principalities

“Accordingly, yesterday I advised Ms. Britt that she needed to make a choice of either resigning her role on American Outdoor Brands, or her role as CFO at St. Thomas University, but that she could not continue on both." [More]
No word on whether Monsignor Casale would have required the same had she been on the board of a company that makes arms for the Pope's Swiss Guards...

That's pretty damn putrid of him.

Interesting-- another Catholic university with a similar name, the University of St. Thomas, has no problem "partnering" with OK Go, which made a video attacking Trump and Republicans and ended with a plea for viewers to support these leftists, including the country's leading abortionist:

Well alrighty then.

Action/Reaction

So "Catholic" DePaul University toyed with charging Americans more to give scholarships to illegals, and is a “sanctuary campus” that has "publicly expressed their refusal to cooperate with the Trump administration’s enforcement of immigration laws"...? [More]

So the Republican-controlled House, Senate and White House can't figure out a way to deny eligibility of such law-defying schools to receive funds from PELL, SEOG and TEACH grants...?

An Air of Death about Him

A Roman Catholic deacon and former nurse went on trial in Belgium on Monday suspected of killing at least 10 people, including his own mother, by injecting air into their veins. [More]
Time for some commonsense air safety laws, don't you think?

What is it with Euronurses? Maybe they oughtta be licensed and registered or something...
