Regular readers know why I like the Sangre de Cristo Sentinel. And you don't have to be from Colorado to get a lot of value from it.

'Safe Space's are for Leftist Weaklings Anyway

Control freaks won't allow those who don't share their ideology to exist, even if they have to travel and seek them out. George Gramlich of the Sangre de Cristo Sentinel passed this along to demonstrate how flak is a pretty good indicator of target proximity.

I have to confess the thought of hooking a fire hose and pump up to a septic tank did cross my mind...

Ignition Sequence Start ... We Have Liftoff!

Per the Sangre de Cristo Sentinel's George Gramlich, "Just got word the county clerk has certified all three petitions. The recall is on for November 7."

The Signal Just Got Amplified

Recall petitions turned in for all three Custer County commissioners [More]
Good. About time.

Funny, how #justablogger in Ohio was on it way before the local "real reporters." Not that we haven't seen that before.

The Sangre de Cristo Sentinel's George Gramlich explains why this is relevant to all liberty advocates:
All it takes is effort, dedication and love of country and our Constitution. Think local patriots. Local is doable. Get off the internet and get your neighbors and friends in gear. Engage. Take the offensive.
This should serve as an example for patriots everywhere. Start your local efforts now. There is no shame in trying and losing, but there is shame in not trying.
As an aside, how unsurprising that the subjects of the recall are choosing avoidance rather than engagement.

Once More unto the Breach, Dear Friends

The Sangre de Cristo Sentinel reprinted my AmmoLand piece for their primarily hard copy readership. I actually haven't seen the final cut yet, so I'm looking forward to inviting the relatives over for a screening when I get my copy.

Total Recall

From George Gramlich of the Sangre de Cristo Sentinel, via email:
The people have spoken. In just 4 weeks a non-partisan crew of citizens have gathered enough signatures to put the ENTIRE Custer County Board of Commissioners up for RECALL this November. An astonishing effort. The three RINO's lied to the public to get elected and are trying to implement a left wing agenda in a predominantly conservative Christian county. The people have revolted. Next step will be the actual recall vote in November. This should be happening all over American but it isn't. Time to get more people motivated and involved at the grass roots level.

Reclaiming What's Theirs

Sangre de Cristo Sentinel publisher George Gramlich explains why and how the grassroots needs to remove the RINOs from the county commission, and also announces the July 4 Second Amendment Rally and March, dedicated this year in memory of Mike Vanderboegh. [More]

Colorado 'Lies of Omission' Screening Today

That would be in re my latest at Oath Keepers.

George Gramlich of the Sangre De Cristo Sentinel just emailed:
TL emailed me yesterday morning as he was driving here from eastern Colorado that  he just got into a bad auto accident and broke his leg. Will require surgery. Probably won't make it today but his daughter and producer will be here. So the show will go on. Prayers needed for TL.
Indeed. A remarkable man.  Thank God it's not worse, but that said, this is still terrible news for someone trying so hard against such odds. I've heard of saying "Break a leg" before a show, but this is cosmically ridiculous. I'll post more when I know it.

In the mean time, if you're in the area, go and spread the word. If you know anyone in the area, tell them to go and spread the word.

Redshift

Dedicated grassroots with smart leadership can make a difference. But that means people need to be willing to do more than complain.

Per publisher George Gramlich:
Folks  -- What local, grass roots efforts can do. Pueblo County is hardcore, blue collar blue, and these patriots turned it red. It can be done. But you have to get off your ass and do it.

Oath Keepers Represented in Colorado Independence Day Parade

“Attached is a photo of the Oath Keepers section, within the Southern Colorado Patriot’s Club section, in the July 4th Independence Day Parade,” George Gramlich of  The Sangre de Cristo Sentinel wrote in an email. [More]
This is from that parade where Mike Vanderboegh committed his last defiant act of non-compliance.

Hit Parade

Here are some more pictures from the Independence Day commemoration I talked about on AmmoLand and Oath Keepers.

Per George Gramlich of The Sangre de Cristo Sentinel:
Close to 200 2nd Amendment supporters marching down Main Street, Westcliffe, CO on July 4. By far the largest 2nd Amendment rally out west. Thousands watched and cheered. Hell of a day brother.
We're actually getting a sneak peek here at WarOnGuns, as the issue will be out on the 15th.

A Target Rich Environment

Sangre de Cristo Sentinel goes "RINO Hunting in Colorado." [More]

I'm told the article has caused quite a stir.

We've talked about this paper before -- they're co-sponsoring an Independence Day parade/Second Amendment rally.

Read what they're about and ask yourself how your hometown paper compares.

Colorado Paper Co-sponsoring Independence Day Parade with 2nd Amendment Rally

The determination to push back against the political control freaks will be on display this Fourth of July at the Westcliffe Colorado Independence Day Second Amendment March/Rally, part of the Custer County July 4th Parade. The rally is being coordinated by the Southern Colorado Patriots Club, and The Sangre de Cristo Sentinel is a co-sponsor of the parade. [More]
Download a flyer and learn about a remarkable newspaper: one that promotes truth and liberty instead of government control. If you’re in the area or know someone who is, why not make plans to attend, and spend the day with like-minded fellow freedom advocates? If you’re not in the area, take note of how things could be done where you live, and take steps to make it so.
