What He Can Do When He Wants To

As everyone in this room knows, whenever a criminal is wrongly released, the lives of your officers are unnecessarily put in danger.   [More]
I'd wondered what the problem with "sanctuary" for illegals was.

And then there's this:
The Founding Fathers carefully divided responsibility and power between the federal government and the state governments.  The “Supremacy Clause” in Article VI of the Constitution provides that the “Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof… shall be the supreme law of the land.” This Clause is a vital part of our constitutional order.  Enforcing a country’s immigration laws is an essential function of the national government. And no national government can enforce those laws properly if state and local governments are getting in the way.
So the reason we can't replace "a country's immigration laws" in his speech with "the Second Amendment" is...? Especially since those Founding Fathers he seems to understand considered it to be"necessary to the security of a free State:...?

It's almost like choosing  Barr was no favor to gun owners or something...

So Much for the Ballot Box...

From Dave Licht via email:
Have you heard about or seen the california primary ballot? It’s AMAZING!!!! Absolutely Zero reason for a conservative to vote. They orchestrated a completely rigged game. Constitution is DEAD in crapifornia
Take your pick.

And we may not "owe" it all to The Great Communicator, but he sure owns his portion.

And here are the current Numbers USA grades for the surviving handful of Republican House incumbents:

Only Tom McClintock is a champion. As I expected he would be.

How much more evidence do we need to see?

That’s what happens when you vote for Democrats... [More]

That we know. It's what happens when we vote for Republicans that worries me.

But Reeling in Style

Inside Wayne LaPierre’s Battle for the N.R.A. How an internal power struggle, a New York State investigation and accusations of fraud and betrayal on all sides have left the longtime leader of the gun-rights organization reeling... [More]
I'd characterize it more as hanging on for dear life.

Quite the Gangsta

Facing a string of charges including racketeering and firearms offenses, the rapper immediately flipped against the others and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in hopes of earning himself a break at his own sentencing. [More]

Again, my concern is with a society that would reward such this.

So When Do the Protests Start?

College student, 18, is beaten and stabbed to death in savage mugging by a 'group of thugs' while walking in a park near her Manhattan campus [More]
I'd think with the monsters still out there, a description of suspects would be in the interest of public safety.

Or do those in charge of such matters have other interests that take precedence?

For What Shall It Profit a Man?

I see this and have to shake my head at "society's" "values" based on who it rewards with worldly riches and how they evidently regard it as their due -- because... [More]

I guess that depends on who wins and what that takes.

Oh, wait, I see -- this article assumes an enforceable, self-empowering global taxing authority for strategic property and resource redistribution as a permanent given, with just a few details to work out...

Fung, 43

I'm sure the "authorities" will have no trouble identifying him now, especially after pointing out escape plans.  [More]

But the same media insists revealing the name of the "whistleblower" will endanger him.

Using What You've Got

Hong Kong protesters use empty swimming pool to test petrol bombs at their 'weapon factory' while others wielding medieval-style weaponry build watchtowers and catapults to fend off police [More]
Why don't they just use guns?

Oh.

The Other Three Percent

The 39-year-old is now one of America’s firearms super-owners – part of the 3% of American adults who collectively own 130m firearms, half of the nation’s total stock of civilian guns. [More]
I don't believe there's a way they can actually know that. It looks to me like this is being propagated to spread the meme that there really aren't that many gun owners so more disarmament edicts will breeze on through.

I do wonder how many "super owners" are "super advocates."

We're the Only Ones Healing and Self-Reflecting Enough

A South Carolina sheriff accused of punching a woman in the face at his home has said he is taking a leave of absence to heal and self-reflect. [More]
Yeah, nothing quite gets those calming alpha waves oscillating for me like remembering physically weaker people I've pummeled, and I'm just an amateur.

Funny -- the story doesn't say if his guns were confiscated.

The Workaround

The searches will be exempt from U.S. privacy laws and the Fourth Amendment. The law also will allow U.S. police to collect any information "held by British companies without following U.K. privacy laws." [More]
What clause in the Constitution allows for that again...?

Heavily armed hitman of rival El Chapo cartel is arrested over Mormon massacre after a stand-off at the US border where he held two HOSTAGES as heartbreaking photos show devastated relatives visiting the scene of the massacre [More]
Damned lax American gun laws!

Don't expect this to change.

Or this.

Any gun owners still out there putting it all on the line for that idiot Ammon Bundy?

UPDATE--Tangentially related:
A tiny cabal of government contractors, mostly religious groups cloaking their profit-seeking in compassion and Scripture, perpetuates the refugee resettlement racket. Openly hostile to American sovereignty, these people spread their tax-subsidized syndicate's wealth to a vast network of subcontractors, often tied to billionaire George Soros and his Open Society Foundations, which promote global governance and unfettered migration espoused by the United Nations, European Union and Vatican.
