We Hold These Truths to Be Self-Evident Redux

Liberal politicians who order police to stand down are the same people who want to ban guns [More]
When the god is power, sacrifices have to be made.

Think They'll Be Persuaded?

Just Like in Everytown

Minneapolis Riots Are a Reminder That Police Don't Protect You or Your Property [More]
A-yup.

But don't tell the MILMs.  Some lessons are best learned firsthand.

RKBA Roundup

This Week In Gun Rights: Pennsylvania, New York, California, Louisiana, The Second Circuit, the ATF, and More! [More]
It never stops.

For some reason, that makes me think about our old Citizens of America objective:
Our goal is to put ourselves out of business as soon as possible—through success.
The biggest obstacle to that, of course, was this.

The Takeaway from All This

In Iowa, Randy Feenstra is being backed by gun-grabbing cheap labor Republicans who present themselves as "pragmatists." [More]

Rope-Selling Capitalists

The left dominates the shareholder proposal space, annually filing 95 percent of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) proposals. With 400 to 500 ESG proposals filed per year, that’s a lot of opportunities to influence corporate behavior. Compounding this is the fact that the organizations that advise investors on how to vote for these ballot initiatives have become fully “woke.”  [More]
And if any balk at advancing the collectivist agenda, let the smearing and extortion begin!

A Grudging Admission

Crime has significantly declined while the sale of firearms has risen over the past month in the United States. Both trends appear to result fromthe coronavirus pandemic, which has simultaneously raised the nation’s anxiety while emptying its streets. We rate this claim TRUE because it is supported by our research.  [More]
Can't resist putting your spin on it, can you, Gannett?

I'm sure the "researchers" can explain this...

A Belated Birthday

Happy heavenly Birthday little brother. I miss you every single day and I wonder what life would look like for you at age 42. [More]
Just think of it as Opposite Day "progressive" commonsense gun safety for the children.

We're the Only Ones Essential Enough

New Jersey’s top cop: Second Amendment not essential! [More]
It's not like he was thinking of the Bill of Rights or anything.

Glock and Benelli, eh...?

Voices from the Past

There is a sub-species of pig-headed gun owners who refuse to entertain any attempts to persuade our "beautiful Second Amendment" president about needed course corrections. They view any attempt as an attack to be put down with stupid and bellicose questions like "Would you rather have Hillary?" or accusations of being a closet leftwinger or a Russian bot.

One point I made that I haven't noticed too many picking up on is the way a "voice vote" within many of our memories eviscerated our recognized right to keep and bear arms.

Here are some more reminders of what can happen when you rely on a corrupt broker being the sole arbiter of who screamed the loudest, which is one hell of an outrageously unacceptable way to commit the fate of millions:

Playing TAPS for the Constitution

Don’t Exploit the COVID-19 Emergency to Push the Anti-Gun TAPS Act [More]
More pushback against sterile bee queen Amy Swearer and her Conservative, Inc. drones.

I just received more links than I know what to do with, so with the caveat that I may or may nor have even clicked on some of these,  let alone read them to see if I'm 100% with 'em, here ya go:
And you could always just go here and here...

Down By the Old Mills Ream

We urge you to contact Governor Mills and respectfully request that Gun Shops be added to the list of “Essential Businesses” as soon as possible. [More]
One question: Why would I want to be respectful to a turncoat?

Thank You, Captains Obvious

PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES MUST STILL PROTECT CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF AMERICANS [More]
Conservative Action Project, eh? A question attributed to Stalin comes to mind.

I don't mean to be a smart@$$, but when I see coalition members like Legal Immigrants for America, I have to wonder how many of the signatories share in culpability for bringing this down upon our heads in the quest for "cheap labor."

UPDATE: WarOnGuns Correspondent Henry says I owe LIFA an apology. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong and confess I did a kneejerk based on "What's in a name?" So I am heartily sorry but my wonderment still stands. If they're all pals, I guess I need to humble myself to all.

I'll come back to this with a link to the complaint when SAF posts it.

UPDATE: As promised...

And yeah...

I remember that song.

A Sure Cure

The Justice Department has quietly asked Congress for the ability to ask chief judges to detain people indefinitely without trial during emergencies — part of a push for new powers that comes as the novel coronavirus spreads throughout the United States. [More]
Why not? It worked against "terrorism."

Didn't it?

[Via Felix B]

UPDATE [Via Jess]:
The power would go to judges, not DOJ.

Well, alrighty then. We know how respectful of the Constitution they are.

The Legal Way

In a nutshell: there is no legal way that Governor Gordon or any other government official at the state, county or municipal level can take any action that would curtail your right to own, carry, transport or use a firearm after an emergency declaration. [More]
Noting "the supreme Law of the Land," there is no legal way any governor anywhere can infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

Like that stops them.

Oh, I think I do.

Unlike some of the dolts making excuses for the "kinder, gentler" NRA kind.
