Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Piers Morgan Paradise

Bringing “Drag Queen Story Time” for under 5s to a community like Newham is likely to be controversial, and how Muslim parents respond to it is anyone’s guess. [More]

We're the Only Ones Tipped Off Enough

The police told us they had a tip about George but what we soon discovered was the tip to the police came from the Capitol police itself. [Watch]
That's been one of my concerns about snitch programs:
What if you’re a cop and getting a warrant might prove problematic? (It's not like we haven't seen prominent warrant “workarounds” at the highest law enforcement levels recently.) Calling in a tip could reduce a lot of red tape. (And it’s not like corruption up to and including planting guns is unheard of, even in cities with a “Crime Stoppers gun bounty” program.)
The guy handled himself well enough, but as a rule, there's a more advisable way

'A Textbook Example of Tyranny'

So Virginia introduces a bundle of radical laws to destroy 2A rights, militias, sale transfer and registration bills, and the People of Virginia says no, and we're going to vote you all out next term. Virginia government responds by introducing a bill to eliminate voter ID. [More]

Democrats Wanted: Inquire Within

Joliet Township Job Ad Asked For Applicants Who ‘Voted In A Democratic Primary Election’ [More]
They have "since removed the requirement"?  How about removing the Democrat employee who used public resources to promote a political agenda in addition to breaking the law?

Who believes this for a second?

McSally Forth Again

[Right click.new tab]
Jeez, it seems like we just got done with some industrial-strength snake-tonguing, and now we get this bit of noncommital weaseling.

I've always found "Rest assured" has pretty much the same effect as "Trust me."

I'm not assured and I won't rest.

'Nine-Eleven'

Henry County supervisors quickly stand up for guns in 'sanctuary' vote [More]

How, specifically?

And noting the applause, why am I reminded of Lois Griffin running for mayor?

You Can't Stop the Signal

“About a third of all firearms seized in Southern California now are unserialized, and that is expected to grow,” Ginger Colbrun, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles region’s ATF office, told The Times in August. [More]

What's In a Name?

“I oppose repealing our schools’ names, but I hope my colleagues will be straight with the city of Richmond and acknowledge that they want to remove George Mason, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, George Wythe, along with removal of any portraits of George Washington,” said Young, who also opposed last year’s renaming of J.E.B. Stuart Elementary School — named for a Confederate general — for former President Barack Obama. [More]

We're the Only Ones Electrifying Enough

A pair of Texas armed government workers were caught on camera – their own body cameras – committing multiple crimes, including the “drive-by” Tazering of a man they later arrested and charged with attempting to flee, which he hadn’t as a matter of law because he hadn’t been given the chance to not-flee. He wasn’t told to stop or that he was under arrest. [More]
Which sparked an investigation where they were charged with battery...

I guess I should apologize for that.

Why Do You Think We Call It 'Tyranny'?

Can the government constitutionally outlaw the types of rifles used by the El Paso and Dayton killers? In a word: No.  [More]
It says "shall not be infringed" for a reason.

And ditto for "Red Herring Laws."

It would be a criminal act to enforce them and it's past time to remind those who would of legal precedents.

Do as He Says, Not as He Does

The workers began demanding a raise in May, arguing that Sanders, who has made a $15 federal minimum wage a centerpiece of his campaign, should honor that commitment in compensating his own staff. [More]
They haven't figured out that commies who extol the virtues of workers have never worked a day in their lives, are career parasites and expect others to give everything while they never contribute a thing besides their demands?

'I Will Not Comply'

Kiwis Just Say No To Gun Ban - In the wake of the Christchurch mosque massacres, gun confiscation fizzles as Kiwis ignore new law. [More]
As noted before on several occasions, the ricebowl gun groups don't quite know what to do with such people, aside from joining with "progressives" by calling them "extremists." That's because those in it strictly for the liberty don't send out emails to lists asking for money, or selling merchandise, or offering gunprizes to induce people to do the right thing out of covetousness instead of principle, or sending "fax blasts" to stuff the pockets of spammers, divert resources from the gullible who will then feel like they've done their part, and amuse corrupt legislators in safe districts.

I see a poster that could use an update...
