Will Registration Lead to Confiscation?
We're the Only Ones Mistaken for Armed Criminals Enough
The officer who was killed...was wearing plain clothes, was shot in the arm and chest after a team of three other plainclothes officers in a car came upon him chasing a man ...with his gun drawn... [More]See, that's the argument against letting you and me carry--the "Only Ones" won't know who's not in their Bloomberg's Finest clique. That they can't even tell who is seems not to factor in.
JPFO's 'No Guns for Negroes' Exposes Racism of 'Gun Control'

[I]t takes money to bring us treasures like this. Don't you think we should encourage and promote them, instead of starving such efforts due to "Let George Do It" apathy? If JPFO doesn't bring us information like this, who will? [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column announces an important new project that needs your support. I hope you will give it.
I hope you share this with everyone you know, along with your personal urging that they do the same.
Also get the latest from my fellow GREs.

The passes and the Fortifications in the Highlands are of the last importance and every means in our power must be employed to secure them. If the Enemy's movements, which most probably will be understood, in a little time should, be such as to shew that Hudson's River is not their object and the State of the Troops will admit, I shall with great pleasure post a part, about the White plains, Stamford &ca., and give every protection I can to Connecticut, consistent with the general Interest; but till these events take place, neither prudence or policy will justify me in sparing Men. We're the Only Ones Choking You Up Enough

Now Trooper Daniel Martin, who placed his hands around the neck of a paramedic, is now the subject of an internal investigation, although he and his partners remain on duty. [More]Be sure and watch the video, too.
Yep, even EMTs rushing patients to the hospital must bow and grovel before the mighty "Only Ones."
Keep winning friends and influencing people, boys. Don't worry, I'm sure hand throttling a man's windpipe is approved department procedure. Especially as you endanger the life of a citizen in need of critical aid, who, for all you know, could die from any delay of treatment.
But more important everybody respect your authoritah.
Keep drawing more and more previously unengaged citizens into your embrace.
Squeeze, baby, squeeze.
Until our eyeballs bleed.[Via Tom S]
UPDATE: CTone sends us the paramedic's written attestation.
I Hate to Say "I Told You So"
An Oklahoma City pharmacist is facing a first-degree murder charge after shooting back during an attempted robbery. [More]But I told you so.
Now everything he said can and will be used against him in a court of law.
"First-degree murder."
I'm sure if an "Only One" had done the same, it would be within department policy.
What's the Magic Word?
No guns in parks here, please [More]Say "please" to the predators. Maybe if you beg and grovel and blubber and plead and howl in animal terror and agony enough, it'll work.
Then again, maybe it won't. Maybe it'll just enhance their experience.
In any case, the response from someone who is not a degenerate Eloi coward must be a polite, but firm "No," becoming less polite and more firm the more this doughy and contemptible evolutionary dead end whines.

The "No Fly List" Loophole
Sweeten used a co-worker's driver's license and presented it as her own when she bought an airline ticket and flew to Orlando, Fla. on Tuesday, Henry said, adding Sweeten also used the license to check into the Grand Floridian Hotel at Disney World. [More]TSA. What a joke.
Hey, maybe they ought to do something like this with guns...

Their Intent
"Their intent was that this is going to somehow stop crime or stop killings and murders," Hart said. "That's like trying to stop a clock to save time." [More]That's not their intent, Mr. Hart.
But they're perfectly happy to have people think that it is. It keeps the whole misdirected dialog based on their terms, and the whole rigged game based on their rules.

Larry Hincker Award Finalists
CCAC also told Brashier that the college must pre-approve any distribution of literature to fellow students, and that pamphlets like hers would not be approved, even insisting that Brashier destroy all copies of her pamphlet.
Brashier reports that she was also interrogated about why she was distributing the pamphlets, whether she owned a licensed firearm and had ever brought it to campus (she has not), whether she carries a concealed firearm off campus, and whether she disagrees with the existing college policy banning concealed weapons on campus. Why do fun opportunities like this always seem to happen to someone else...?

Alex Johnson, President, Community College of Allegheny County: 412-237-4413; ajohnson@ccac.eduWe can still have some fun.

Frickin' nitwits.

A Trusted Fund
Crist vetoed only two items: a small pay cut for some state workers and a measure to take $6 million from a trust fund that's used to process concealed weapons permits. [More]There's been a lot of brouhaha on this, and it's been covered by others. I mention it here because many of you have emailed me tips over the past few days.
In truth, it has just not been that important a story to me, because I never signed up to trust the damn government with any of this in the first place.

Did German 'Smart Gun' Fail on Video?

Watch and listen carefully at about 52 seconds into the video. Did you hear a click when the company representative took the gun back and tried to demonstrate it would not fire? [More]Oops.
Today's Gun Rights Examiner brings you a video demonstration the manufacturer may not want you to see. That's why I suggest spreading this as far and wide as possible as quickly as possible--and saving the video to your hard drive in the (likely?) event YouTube removes it.
Also read the newest offering from Liberty Belles, hear a question from Oregon and get the latest from my fellow GREs.
Tell a friend? If you're going to, I suggest doing so quickly.

Pre-Mugged Liberals
The first round of Toledo police layoffs, in which 75 officers were let go, may already be having an affect on gun ownership. [More]I guess it's better late than never.
Still, I don't get the mentality that says the more police there are the less you need a gun.
More German "Gun Control"
146 Waffen, davon 67 Kriegswaffen, sind ihr seit dem Jahr 2000 abhanden gekommen. [More]From "Hamburger," who provided the information used in yesterday's Gun Rights Examiner column:
A member of the FDP "liberal party" asked the government, how many weapons the German federal institutions (army, federal police, etc) are losing every year. The result is: The German federal government lost 146 firearms since the year 2000, 67 of them being full auto assault weapons. This does not include firearms that were lost by the majority of the police forces which are under regional/local just like in the U.S.Here is the Google translation of the linked document--certainly not precise, but you'll catch the drift.
The exact same government wants to tighten gun laws on private gun owners, who are already securing their guns with gun vaults.
Note: The German liberal party is not "liberal" like the American Democrats. It is not a leftist party. This party is the only German party that opposes stricter gun laws.
BERLIN. The weapons for competent legal expert of the inner FDPBundestagsfraktion Hartfrid Wolff has a parliamentary question the federal government lost weapons addressed. To Response of the federal government declared Hartfrid WOLFF:
The same government that the arms will tighten right to arms from Private property is not in wrong hands to let himself significant problems with the safe storage of their own weapons the security organs of the federal government. 146 weapons, including 67 military weapons, are her since 2000, lost. The approximate ranges to equip an entire company. In this figure are not yet Weapons from the inventory of the country's police forces and authorities contained.
Obviously, not the rules for dealing with weapons is a problem, but - especially for the security organs of the Federal Republic -- the enforcement thereof. This shows the absurdity of the approach of Federal Government, the right weapons to tighten before an approach to Compliance with existing rules has been developed.
I have to tell you, one of the most rewarding things about communicating with people on the gun issue is finding people from around the world who get it. It really does give me hope.
We're the Only Ones Bordering on the Illegal Enough
What can I say? They're "Only Ones" and you're not. [More]
Besides, without them, who is going to threaten citizens who ask about their rights, or beat up and tase preachers?
Hey, it's either that or focus on these guys.

A Sick Fantasy
The fantasy of killing others may turn into intention, leading the person to track victims and obtain weapons, Ash said. [More]News flash: Some people may become violent. The field of "mental health" is unable to predict who they may be until they act out.
So why are "laws" endorsed that presume otherwise is established science?

There Will Be Blood Part Two
I just wanted to make a follow-up statement to yesterday's post.
I'm going in on June 1 to donate blood. I have the type they give to newborns. I do this regularly. I have for decades.
I freely and happily give it. As I do with other contributions I make to other efforts and causes that are important to me. Just nobody make the mistake of presuming you can take it, that it can be done not only without my consent but against my will.
Isn't it amazing that we even have to fight these battles? Honest to God, everyone I call friend is a salt of the earth person who would give you the shirt off his back. It just does not seem that difficult to be that way.
What the hell is wrong with the type that needs to control and take from others? Why do they act as if everything--our property, our rights, our very life's blood is theirs to take?

This Day in History: May 27
Our greatest difficulty is the want of Clothing; those Troops who marchd without it, and were told that they would be supplied at Pecks Kill are disopointed. The men there, are almost naked, and many of them Lousey and not a second Shirt to their Backs, some have been told that large Quantities were sent to the Northward, and Officers have been as far as Albany in Quest of it, and have finally returned here, with their mouths filled with Complaints. Vast Quantities of Cloathing has gone forward but to where I know not; The Agents tell me that they are obliged to send it on to the Cloather General; but had it been sent on, on the Mens Backs the heavy expence of transportation would have been saved The Colonels have applied till they are discouraged as your Excellency will observe by an enclosed Line from Colo. Putnam,I have sent! I have spoke! I have wrote to the Agents repeatedly; two of their written Answers I take the liberty to enclose,I do not charge them with any Neglect: But your Excellency will see that I have done all in my power unless I had taken the Cloathing by Force.
