PROPOSED REVOCATION OF RULING LETTERS AND REVOCATION OF TREATMENT RELATING TO THE ADMISSIBILTY OF CERTAIN KNIVES WITH SPRING-ASSISTED OPENING MECHANISMS [More]As opposed to "patrol knives," I suppose...
He called himself the Lion King, the emperor of Galveston, and more simply, "the government." [More]I wonder where "Only Ones" get the idea they can be abusive with such impunity, if not from years and years of getting away with it while those in the know turn a blind eye so as not to rock their own boats...
She said some occurred within obvious earshot of security guards...Funniest mouthpiece line:
"Judge Kent and I refuse to be part of the circus."Good one, Dick Deguerin, with just the right amount of feigned indignation over nonexistent dignity. As if you freak show exhibits rise to the level of circus.

So why might I have anything negative to say about New Bethel Church in Valley Station pastor Ken Pagano "encouraging people to bring their guns to church on June 27"? And why might I be unimpressed by his assertion that "This is for anybody that believes in second amendment rights. And that is the buttress to first amendment rights"? [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column tells why.
The Major General of the day is, in some sort to represent the Commander in Chief -- He is to give directions for all guards, parties and detachments -- to receive reports of the proceedings, and of every occurrence of any importance, both in and out of camp. All deserters and prisoners, other than for common military offences, to be brought to him for examination, and disposed of by him -- All detachments, or reinforcements arriving, to be reported to him immediately, on their arrival, and to take his orders -- He is to superintend the regulation of the camp, and the execution of all General orders... The girl, whose name has not been released because she's a juvenile, pleaded guilty...Via Avg Joe, who writes:
Cody Barden was hit by a vehicle and left unconscious by the side of the road. [More]
Unless I'm missing something here, the victim who is an under age kid gets his name in the paper but the under age criminal can't have her name in the paper. The story identifies them both as high school students, but I guess it's possible Barden is 18...?
It doesn't matter what small percentage of the population stands up to oppose American tyranny -- IT WILL STILL BE ENOUGH. [More]If freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose, it might be wise for those doing all the squeezing to not create a situation where there's no way out but through...
Some restaurateurs were also opposed to the bill, saying it would hurt business in an already struggling industry. Randy Rayburn, owner of Nashville's Sunset Grill, posted a sign in his window earlier this week saying “No Guns Ever.”That's this place.
Dave Nguyen, general manager of Rooster’s Sports Bar and Grill in Rocky Hill, says guns will be banned at the business despite the recently passed “guns-in-bars” legislation.Trust your safety instead to highly trained career bouncers with tasers. Yeah, that makes sense.
Several weeks ago, STRATFOR heard from sources that the FBI and other law enforcement organizations had been ordered to “back off” of counterterrorism investigations into the activities of Black Muslim converts. At this point, it is unclear to us if that guidance was given by the White House or the Department of Justice, or if it was promulgated by the agencies themselves, anticipating the wishes of President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder. [More]Well, jeez, guys...
President Obama should immediately issue orders to allow military recruiters to be armed for self-defense. [More]Sorry, Mr. Blackwell. No "Only Ones."
"Don't get in the way as the Citizenry arms itself, and as members of the Citizenry the military recruiters will also be armed.
And what can be said for a school that sets aside a free-speech zone, as Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas, has done, but that will not allow an empty-holster protest by students regarding the weapon-carrying issue in that free-speech zone. [More]I never understood the motivation to hold an empty holster protest, and candidly, think it's a misguided idea. But be that as it may--it sounds like the guardians of tolerance and diversity are determined to make a filled holster protest inevitable some day.
FIRE reported Brashier was ordered into a meeting with school officials, "who told her that passing out her non-commercial pamphlets was prohibited as 'solicitation.' Furthermore, they insisted that the college pre-approve any pamphlets, that pamphlets like hers would not be approved, and that Brashier destroy all copies of her pamphlet," the organization reported. And what have we learned from this...?
"At one point during the meeting, Dean Yvonne Burns reportedly said, 'You may want to discuss this topic but the college does not, and you cannot make us.' Brashier was warned that any further efforts would be considered 'academic misconduct.'" [More]

There are new developments for two stories presented here this week. The Tennessee guns in adult dining establishments veto has been overridden, and NRA is appealing the Seventh Circuit ruling upholding gun bans. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column brings us up to date. You'll note a side trip to a Nashville restaurant I'll have more to say about later.
The Commissary General to have his slaughter-house, at least a mile in the rear of the camp, and to be very careful to have the offals, of what he kills, buried, a sufficient depth under ground: He must be provided with waggons, to convey the meat to places near each Brigade, for the more commodious distribution of it; and must see that no relicts are left in those places, through carelessness. As proper precautions, in the regulation of this part of the Commissary General’s department, are essential to the health of the army, The General hopes he will be particularly attentive to it. The four kids were apparently rummaging through some sort of trash dumpster and told cops that's where they found the toy gun, police sources told NBCNewYork.com. One of the juveniles picked up the fake gun, put it in his belt and started walking away with the other three kids when a woman spotted the gun in his waistband and called police. [More]You wanna see something really scary?
The officer then told me to get on my knees. I asked am I free to go. He then stated no...Just so you know your place.
I asked if I was not being told why I am being detained, I was going to get up and leave. At this time the officer told me, if you do that you will be tazered and handcuffed. [More]
New Orleans is once again the nation's murder capital after briefly losing the title. [More]Maybe if Ray Nagin focused less on being a "chocolate city" and more on this...

The bodies of two men believed to have been electrocuted while stealing copper wiring were found early Tuesday on an abandoned driving range in Riverside County, authorities said. [More]I bring this story up because of this:
A law intended to deter metal theft took effect in December and requires recycling centers to take a customer's photo, thumbprint and identification for every transaction over $20.Hmmm. Sounds just like our issue.
