Calling All Commentators

The cud-chewers are showing up on Dave Workman's Seattle Gun Rights Examiner site.

If anyone has the time and inclination to engage and correct, now would be a good time.

Go here.

What's Eating Mike Vanderboegh?

Let's hope if it tries, it bites off more than it can chew. [More]

When I get some time, I'm going to have to make him up a Sipsey Street Eat-Me-Gram along the lines of this.

We're the Only Ones Turning Traffic Disputes into Dodge City Enough

Deputy charged in incident

Honk apparently led to gun drawn [More]
See, the antis warned us stuff like this would happen, which is why you and I can't be trusted.

Honk if you love "Only Ones"!

We're the Only Ones with a Fire in Our Bellies Enough

A Pasadena police officer was hospitalized after he accidentally shot himself in the stomach... [More]
In case the thought of guys like this being the "Only Ones" trusted with guns is more than you can stomach...

[Via Harvey]

We're the Only Ones Drawing a Blank Enough

Officer Ray Dilworth was hit in the head with a simunition bullet at a training facility off Columbia Avenue.

Simunition rounds are basically fake bullets made of gunpowder and primer. [More]
What were the "Only Ones" training for there, a reenactment scene from "The Deer Hunter"?

The Top Ten List

How not to survive. [More]

Go on over and join the discussion.

We're the Only Ones Social Networking Enough

Murphy told state troopers that Lieutenant Sherman punched him in the face, pounded him on the back, and ripped his shirt.

He was shouting at him for sending messages to his wife on Facebook and MySpace, Murphy told investigators. [More]
I probably should know more before assuming this is an "Only Ones" story. I know it can be a slippery slope, and I know there are other ways to deal with things, but there are times and situations where I believe a man ought to be able to punch another guy out for inappropriate behavior directed at himself or a loved one. I wouldn't want to deny that consideration to Lt. Sherman just because of his job.

By the same token, I wouldn't want Lt. Sherman arresting me for doing the same.

Extra Steps to Ensure Their Safety

The City Council authorized police this week to arrest students who bring to school objects that could be used as weapons, officials said. [More]
So they're going to make them go barefoot now?

AP: U.S. Border Authorities Aid Mexican Criminals

It's no secret that Mexico is an astonishingly corrupt place, with many of the players coming from the ranks of its government. In a new report, the Associated Press tells us the problem is not confined to their side of the border... [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner points out the futility of tackling Mexico's violence by disarming you and me.

I know, duh. But if the rest of the country understood that, I wouldn't be working at any of this or bugging readers here every day for help spreading the word.

Also meet the new Grand Rapids GRE.

In this letter George Washington describes to us the importance of the Battle of Oriskany to achieving the goal of defeating General Burgoyne. He basically says this: Oriskany is the first victory, and if everything else goes our way then we will defeat the British invasion. [More]

We're the Only Ones Nakedly Harrassed Enough

Gahanna Police Officer Sues Department Over Harassment From Wife’s Naked Photos [More]
I thought it was supposed to be "humiliating and intolerable..."

Oh, wait, that's Gehenna...

Kind of like what "Only Ones" put the rest of us through when they strip us of our rights...

Grassroots, Furious Mike-Style

Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he would raise money for a national campaign to counter the political influence of the National Rifle Association...

...Bloomberg has already contributed about $2.9 million to “Mayors Against Illegal Guns.’’ [More]
What astroturf?

Anybody who can generate the groundswell of public support needed to catapult him to office has shown himself to be a true man of the people.

Anybody else creeped out and think it's just a bit sick, his being so desperate for power over others he'll spend a fortune buying it...?

A Gunsmithing Project

Briefly, my idea is for a flintlock "AK-47". [More]
I encourage Kent McManigal to build one.

Hey, it's not like I haven't promoted some strange gun design proposals...

CODE OF ETHICS FOR GOVERNMENT SERVICE PUBLIC LAW 96-303 [More]
So if it's "public law", can people be arrested for violating it?

Announcing a New Merger

SPLCAP. [More]

When you think about what they have in common in re hostility for gun owners, it's a pretty natural partnership. Plus, think of all that reporting money they can save just using talking points.

I just find it refreshing they no longer feel a need to hide their love.

Heck, might as well be a ménage à trois...

Free Money

"It's free money!" said Alecia Rumph, 26, who waited in a Morris Park, Bronx, line 300 people deep for the cash to buy uniforms and book bags for her two kids.

"Thank God for Obama. He's looking out for us."

...
The no-strings-attached money went to families receiving food stamps or welfare. [More]
You know, "free money."

"Eyewitness News Learned"

None of the weapons found on Nicholas Court appear to be stolen and Clark, who described himself as a hobbyist, told deputies he has a Florida concealed weapons permit as well as a federal permit to own automatic weapons. Eyewitness News learned owning fully automatic weapons are legal under certain circumstances. [More]
Eyewitness News just learned that? Really?

And people trust them to be authoritative in their reporting?

My real question: Who ratted on Clark?

MSNBC Spreads Fear and Prejudice Over Gun Owner at Obama Event

We see what's going on, right? A supposed "watchdog" press demanding to know why a citizen dares exercise his rights...? With the implication that We the People can't be trusted to be either moral or competent...?

And the further implication that the only ones who can be trusted work for the government...? [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at some bigoted media elites, some irresponsible pot-stirring, and two new Guns Magazine articles.

The Stores and Elaboratory are under the management of Genl. Knox, as being more intimately connected with his Department; you will therefore, be mindful not to give any orders contrary to his or mine, as a compliance would produce confusion and in many cases derange the most necessary plans. What's the Difference Between Mission Creep...

...and creeps on a mission?
Rather than monitoring hate groups, the Southern Poverty Law Center has become one. [More]
Shoot, I could have told you that.

So can Vanderboegh.

Nice to see HuffPo admitting the obvious. Does this mean hell has frozen over?
