We're the Only Ones First Enough

But rather than formally charge the 21-year veteran officer with the crimes that occurred over a two-month period this spring, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason’s office allowed Hooks to enter a program for first-time, non-violent offenders. [More]
See, "first time" for you and me means we did it once and got caught. "First time" for "Only Ones" means they can do it five times over a period of months and/or until they get caught, whichever one comes first and your actual mileage may vary.

But maybe I'm being to judgmental and harsh:
"He was treated as any other defendant who is faced with the same type of offense"...
Yeah, I believe that (although I wonder if he had a gun on his person during the commission of the crimes).

Just like I believe all the at-will employers I've ever had would have welcomed me back to the job after doing something like this and dragging their names into the papers right along with mine.

Nice to know that this common thief can carry a gun into a bar in Ohio and I'm not "allowed" to. Because he's more trustworthy.

If it were up to me, this parasite would be in a bread line somewhere. I know I sure wouldn't hire a damn thief--and oath breaker--who betrayed everything he's been paid--for decades--to represent.

Can 373 Trump 962?

We talked here about how dual-citizen Arnold signed the Caleefornyah gun ammo registry into law, treating gun owners like sex offenders.

You can watch the Austrian Oaf...uh...Oak and his fellow travelers congratulate each other here.

Now the Republican Assembly Leader says he has a plan to repeal the new law--by amending an existing section of CA Penal Code Sec. 12040 with AB 373, prohibiting wearing masks in order to conceal identity while carrying firearms. From Curt Hagman's website (for some reason, the specific link can produce a failure notice, so scroll down on the left of his site and click on "Read more"):

Can he do it? Can he get the votes?

Beats me, but he deserves credit for trying.

Gun Rights Documentary Filmmaker Shares Travel Experiences

I first introduced Gun Rights Examiner readers to Max Lemus and his project to record interviews with gun activists a few weeks back. He's finished with the interviews and is now in the process of sorting through many hours of footage to edit it into a finished product. But first he's taken time to reflect on his travels and share his experiences with us. [More]
This morning's third Gun Rights Examiner column introduces you to the subjects of a novel documentary.

Guess what?

Gun owners are pretty nice people. Well, there's one who's kind of a...but the bottom line is he's been bamboozled into thinking I'm OK.

I could have predicted the "nice" part. Note to controllers: Just leave us alone and stop forcing your will on us, and everything will turn out fine.

Hillary Clinton's State Department Reanimates Global Arms Treaty

See, we know what the globalist gun grabbers want. International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) director Rebecca Peters makes no secret of her desire to ban all light weapons. And all you really need to do is look at the knotted gun sculpture in front of the United Nations building to understand what the ultimate desire is. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column notes that some things are non-negotiable.

Note I have a couple other things I need to post on Examiner today, so check back here for announcements or just check there throughout the day. I'm off to go work over there again.

This Day in History: October 16

On October 16, 1777, British troops invaded Kingston and torched over 300 homes, barns and other buildings. At the time, Kingston was the capital of New York, which was forced out of New York City when the British invaded there. The invasion forced the state government to move even further north and would eventually settle at Albany. [More]

The Morally Disabled on Property Rights

Officials with the Second Amendment Foundation have said the rule is illegal and planned to sue the city once the law went into effect. But Nickels doesn't believe the city is acting beyond its power, saying he is asserting the same rights private property owners have. [More]
What do they say? Possession is nine-tenths of the law?

Why would we expect a career kleptocrat to recognize the distinction between property and plunder?

Or recognize rights?

There's just no reasoning with moral retards.

We're the Only Ones Turning Things Upside Down Enough

Boynton beach's Risk Management office says they are investigating this case to see if the city is financially responsible for the damage. The city will contact the homeowner in a couple of days. [More]
Meanwhile, all the "Only Ones" responsible will go home at night and sleep in nice, untrashed dwellings, so I guess there's no hurry.

Hell, they were probably acting within protocol anyway...

We're the Only Ones Getting to the Heart of the Matter Enough

San Mateo police detective tripped, accidentally shot man in heart [More]
By virtue of his magic "Only One" status, this idiot is deemed more fit to carry a gun than you or I. And not just any gun, but a submachine gun! You know, a weapon of war designed only to kill as many people as quickly as possible.

And naturally, he:
...will not face criminal charges...
Why, you might ask? Because:
The actions of the San Mateo Police Department were in accord with the operational plan and the actions of Detective Rodenspiel were consistent with the training he received in SWAT operations.
See? Like magic! And it doesn't even matter if we know how the trick was done.

What a punk the aggressor is--and the way he leaves himself wide open--only someone seemingly assured that people will be cowed into surrendering to his kind would do that. Gee, I wonder what gave him that idea?

And what a skulking coward he turned out to be in the end.

The defender will be lucky if they don't prosecute him. Here's hoping in the mean time, the POS doesn't ambush him with a weapon. One of the comments says he is now trying to sue for humiliation. Talk about someone who deserves to be humiliated.

We're the Only Ones "It's a Family Affair" Enough

As if Permission Matters

Should these men have been allowed to carry a gun? [More]
Actually, I'm more concerned with these men.

Besides, by their own admission:
No one has illusions that permit denials will keep guns out of the hands of criminals.
And a question for the NRA spokesman: Does your definition of criminality deserving a zero tolerance legal response include, say, people who carry to protect themselves because they don't have the connections to wrangle "may issue" permits? Or people who live in "no issue" locales? And how about people who refuse to register their guns?

Globalists Use Mexican Crime—and a Lie—as Excuse to Ban U.S. Guns

Well, there you have it—they trip right out of the starting gate. No "high-powered automatic weapons" were involved in the Clinton gun ban. That people think they were is a calculated lie used to deceive them into supporting a ban on semiautomatic firearms.

Gee, globalists spreading lies to enact gun bans. And the "Authorized Journalist" establishment media is acting as their press agent.

Imagine that. [More]

Full-Court Press

New York's highest court is set to hear arguments Wednesday in a case that will decide whether the state government can lawfully seize private property for a development company. [More]
Because nothing says "public use" requiring coercion like "private basketball." God forbid there should be a market solution.

I suppose if by "lawfully" they mean capable of seizing at gunpoint with no resistance...

Hey, what's more important for governments instituted among men to secure the Blessings of Liberty? Keeping the masses stupefied with bread and circuses or your property rights?

And who better to decide than New York judges?

The outrageous thing is, so many idiot sports fans don't care what freedoms are lost as long as the vicarious thrills of watching others perform keep coming.
