We're the Only Ones Privately Secure Enough

Johnny Augustus Baltazar, 50, is accused of illegally shipping 10 handguns and 1,500 rounds of ammunition to the Central American nation of Belize, where he owns a private security company. [More]
How anyone working for the LAPD could ever get the idea that they are the "Only Ones" authorized to have guns is beyond me.

Where could he have ever come up with a crazy idea like that?

Anti-Defamation League Defames by Innuendo

Here's the thing to keep in mind when ADL spouts off with their fraudulent rhetoric and bluster: It's not people like us who would deny full enfranchisement of all rights, including the right to keep and bear arms, to racial and religious minorities.

It's them. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at how the state worshipers have to resort to manipulation because they've really got nothing else.

It Don't Mean a Thing if It Ain't Got That Sting

Or even if it does, apparently. [More]

Annette Elliott of the Westland Mall Gun Show tells Furious Mike to go pound salt or sand or whatever the right term is to tell him to go **** himself...

Good lady.

A Word About Today's Posts

There sure are a lot of "Only Ones" stories sent in to me over the weekend. I don't want to be accused of denigrating/not properly glorifying law enforcement, so just ignore the ones you think the public has no legitimate interest in knowing about.

We're the Only Ones Dropping Charges Enough

A Medina police officer was charged this week with Official Misconduct for allegedly having sex with a woman after promising to have charges against her "go away." [More]
They expect us to believe an "Only One" would screw a member of the public?

We're the Only Ones Creating a Homey Atmosphere Enough

Former Hillside cop is sentenced for stealing $15K from state homeless fund [More]
Not just a home, but a Hillside home?

Now that this "Only One's" been "barred from public employment," I'm thinking he might just end up really homeless if his core job qualifications are what have been demonstrated here.

We're the Only Ones "I Spy with My Little Eye" Enough

Cameras in a police station are nothing new for officers to deal with. But finding one in the internal affairs office interrogation room, where officers often go to rat on each other, may tear the Miami Beach Police Department apart. [More]
See, the "Only Ones" can do it to us and it's acceptable department procedure.

But if it happens to them, well, I'll let union president Gene Gibbons explain:
"It's illegal...It's completely unprofessional. It's unethical."
The law, professionalism and ethics being the subjective concepts that they are...

We're the Only Ones Who Want Our Garrity Enough

The “Garrity Rule” — adapted from the 1967 Supreme Court ruling Garrity v. New Jersey, which involved a ticket-fixing scandal — triggers an enhancement of the right against self-incrimination that only the government’s armed enforcers enjoy: Any statements made after the magical Garrity incantation is uttered can only be used for the purpose of a departmental investigation, not for criminal prosecution. A Warning

Mark my words friends. All across America groups are forming. They are forming out of anger and out of desperation at the thought of losing America . They’re not militia groups or terrorists as the Department of Homeland security would have you believe; they are Americans, loyal to the constitution. They are mothers and fathers and grandparents. They belong to groups like the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps, the Peaceful Resistance, the Constitution Party, the Young Conservatives, the 9/12 Project, and Grassfire. Right now they are fragmented, each focused on their own cause. But sometime in the next two years, our government is going to do something really stupid and these groups will come together. Watch for it, wait for it–get ready. It will happen. [More]
I could do without O'Reilly and Hannity, but a lot of the sentiment sounds about right. Sounds like an Oath Keeper and a Threeper to me...

We're the Only Ones Relocating Enough

Residents of Ohio's capital city are complaining that police officers are telling them to move out if they're fed up with neighborhood crime. [More]
Hey, it's a lot more practical than expecting "Only Ones" to protect you. Safer for them, too.

Just "don't be surprised if you get some unwanted attention" if you try to protect yourself.

Yeah, best surrender the territory and leave. Isn't that the way all great civilizations flourish?

No Fair

[T]he French and other aristocrats complained bitterly about this invention, the Welsh longbow, that nullified a lifetime of training with animals and equipment in which they had invested fortunes, and which could now be defeated by mere farmers using couple of sticks and a piece of string. [More]
L. Neil Smith talks fairness.

Are Veteran Gun Rights Being Crushed Along with Spent Brass?

Tom brought up two things in our conversation that I'd like to get more information on, so consider this column more a request for information than a report. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column asks questions about reports that the military is once again crushing spent brass, and also about a bill purporting to protect veterans' RKBA.

Hell Hath No Fury: Scozzafava Shows True Colors

I wonder what Newt's gonna say about her "principled leadership" now? And what this says about putting faith in "moderate" Republicans, especially those who would burn the Big Tent down when they don't get center ring? [More]

Smutty Professor Gets Taken to School

Threeper School, that is.

Mike Vanderboegh gives Smutty Professor Darrell A.H. Miller the benefit of a private tutorial.
Arguing for the only acceptable free speech to be practiced in a closet.‏

The amendment says "keep and bear arms." You may as well argue for the only acceptable free speech to be practiced in a closet. Oh, that's right, I forgot, that's what ALL collectivists believe as well, viz. the current Obamanoids v. FOX News controversy.

Silly onanistic comments aside, I have two observations:

First, try it and watch what happens. (See "Law of Unintended Consequences, Lack of the Right of Appeal.")

Second, beware of Bill Clinton's modified rules of engagement in re the recalcitrant Serbs, 1999, to wit: the government, media and intellectual supporters of your enemy are legitimate targets of war. Might not work out too well for you if you get what you wish for, i.e. the next American civil war.

As Martin Heidegger could tell you if you could dig him up and slap an answer out of his despised Nazi-excusing corpse, these are not mere intellectual exercises. They have real world consequences for liberty, property and lives.

So, please, wake up and smell the excrement you're shoveling.

Just a friendly word of advice.

The alleged leader of a merry band of Three Percenters.

Not that I think Mike's lesson will stick in such a backward pupil, but a responsible educator tries his best with the material he's given.

What does Scozzafava Campaign Suspension Mean for the 'Gun Vote'?

Readers here should know that, in a rare public disagreement, I have taken exception to GOA's endorsement based on the superlatives they used to back their man. I simply don't believe it's appropriate to characterize a man who declines to lead and champion as a champion and a leader. If you want to say Hoffman will probably be a lot better for gun owners than Owens, I'd say that's a reasonable assumption. But there is nothing on the public record to warrant going beyond that, and speaking only for myself, I'm tired of that kind of unsupported political rhetoric. Give me the facts, the pros, the cons, the implications, and then let me vote my informed conscience. Stop with the damned smoke-blowing. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column revisits a special election in New York that ought to interest voting gun owners everywhere.
