We're the Only Ones Tapped Out Enough

Sutton said he didn't fight the charges because he couldn't afford a trial — which could have cost as much as $50,000 — nor risk being convicted. [More]
What Sutton didn't say is how many of his countrymen he has put in an identical situation.

Besides, who among us wouldn't use "forfeited" assets for perks and junkets?

Jamaica a 'Gun Control Paradise'

But how can this be? Guns are illegal for ordinary citizens to possess in Jamaica. The laws there read like a gun grabber's dream. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at what happens in spite of giving the gun grabbers everything they demand.

Also find out which hotel checks your rights out as they're checking you in, visit yet another gun control paradise on Trigger Sports Live! and see who's not doing a 360 on ATF--yet.

GRE Round Up for May 25

There's some good stuff being turned out by the Gun Rights Examiners. I hope you're availing yourself of it, and importantly, sharing these links via emails, on blogs and forums, with your local newspaper editor, etc.

A common complaint is media bias and absence of representation for "our side."

These people work hard to change that and ask for nothing from those of us their labors serve other than to help spread the word. I hope no one thinks that's too much to ask.

Here are their latest offerings:

Dave Workman/Seattle:
If budgets are bare and public safety services are cut, what’s a citizen to do?

Kurt Hofmann/St. Louis:
You're doing that, right?

We're the Only Ones Atoning for Our Sins Enough

Interesting story.

Interesting insight into how corrupt "drug warriors" operate.

I'd be more impressed if he devoted his profits to making restitution to those whose lives he ruined.

Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Sarah Brady Paradise...

The six firearms belonging to World War II hero Geoffrey Hallowes were found in the loft of a home in Walton in March 2008 after a woman had cleared out her loft. She reported the find to Surrey Police... [More]
I have one thing to say:
“If anyone ever finds a firearm anywhere please immediately contact the police and work with us to arrange safe disposal. In the wrong hands the consequences can be disastrous."
And, of course, we get to decide who has the right hands.

The "No Cry" List

The Transportation Security Administration says it is keeping records of people who make its screeners feel threatened as part of an effort to prevent workplace violence. [More]
Like you are responsible for how someone else "feels"--and like many of these incompetent thugs don't deserve whatever psychic feedback they get--and more.

Maybe that's why we need to keep people on the watch list helpless...

And I can't help but note how the "Authorized Journalists" at USA Today characterize citizens responding to abuse as "pushy." It's just like when we defend ourselves we become "vigilantes."

Calderon and U.S. Gun Grabbers Playing a Rigged Numbers Game Against Our Rights

Sweet. Start an argument based on lying numbers, and when the lie is pointed out and it's clear you've lost the argument, take the position that numbers don't matter. And keep pressing to impose new citizen disarmament edicts anyway. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column shows how liars figure.

Also see a hotel light up its "Vacancy" sign.

ATF Under Fire from CNN

What gets me is, it's not news until they acknowledge it to be. Some of us have been out there waving this flag for the better part of a year...

Again and again and again...all the while asking where the hell the media was... [More]
Today's second Gun Rights Examiner column concedes it may be better late than never...we'll know when we see the show.

In case you want to ask them if Marriott is the only hotel in Louisville...sure seems like it wouldn't be all that difficult to find other accommodations between now and July...

Through a Glass Darkly

...If I were conducting "official business," I'd damn sure rather be observed through this kind of lens...

I'm aware there are those just arrogant enough to think they have the last word.

Y'all saw the latest chapter in this saga, right?

It's here. I note the "ram it down your throat" thug is still on the job.

Crime and Punishment

Woman Prisoner Sent to Solitary for Reporting Rape by Guard [More]
To all those who advocate treating prisoners like animals and laugh at their abuse--let's just hope you don't get arrested.

What, you don't commit crimes?

Good one.

We're the Only Ones Torturing Enough

A one-time Chicago police commander who officials say oversaw the torture of more than 100 black men goes on trial Monday.

The first allegations date back 40 years, but former Chicago police Cmdr. Jon Burge has avoided prosecution until now.

Prosecutors say detectives under his command on the city's South Side tortured suspects until they confessed to crimes they may or may not have committed. [More]

A Winning Police Tactic

Leave it to an "academic" like Lawrence Rosenthal to characterize insistence on recognition of individual unalienable rights as an "attack." And to assert the Second Amendment created a right...

With agenda-driven hucksters like this accorded the status of law professor, is it any wonder so many attorneys being churned out are so damned ignorant?
