When Battle Axes are Banned...

Two men are in jail, accused of robbing an Inver Grove Heights man and attacking him with a battle axe. [More]
Dang. Didn't they know that was illegal?

[Via Defender]

Just what does someone have to do for ABC to consider him ‘anti-gun’?

But Colin’s not “anti-gun.”

And neither is oozing-with-sympathy Roberts, who tells him “I'm so glad that you're doing well and you’re doing the work…that you are doing, Colin.”

...You believe that, right?[More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at some people who say they merely want to set a few standards.

Also set some personal training standards of your own.

I trust sharing these links has become a standard all the regulars here actively promote?

British Attack on Savannah December 28, 1778
By 1778, the British altered their strategy to subdue the American rebellion. An army of over 3,000 British regulars, German mercenaries and American Loyalists sailed from New York to capture Savannah. Under the command of Lt. Col. Archibald Campbell, the expedition would use the city as a base of operations against Patriot forces in the South. The British advance into Savannah was virtually uncontested by the surprised Georgia Continentals. For the duration of the war in America, Savannah was an occupied city. [More]

Waiting for the Die-Off

As the older hunters start to lay down their guns, hunting advocates fear for the age-old American pastime, especially with the younger generation preferring video games over waiting in a tree for hours until an animal arrives. [More]
I have a feeling the way things are going a lot more Americans are going to take it up.  Especially if electricity becomes a more valued commodity.

On December 27, 1778 British landed at Girardeau's plantation and attacked two days later. A battery at the site of the present Fort Jackson lay in ruins near the landing point. One map of the scene shows Girardeau's Plantation mistakenly labeled "Gordon's." British forces won control of the city. [More]

All I Want for Christmas...

When we first met this young man, we saw a rather unique and creative way to encourage the next generation. Here's an update that's fitting for the season:
This is Payton’s Christmas list:

- Shotgun
- Butt stock shell holder
- Gun case for shotgun - Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Meyer
- Fireproof safe to keep knives and other valuables
- Rotary tool (Dremel)
- Medicine ball

Sounds like their parenting methods are working just fine.  I can only imagine how horrified the Gungrinches must be.
