Perhaps that’s why they all sat on their hands for Restore The Constitution last year.
Perhaps that’s why they’re all sitting on their hands for Project Gunwalker now. [More]
Perhaps.
Notes from the Resistance...
The state's top law enforcement officer said he doesn't oppose a looser requirement for carrying guns, but the state's Sheriffs' Association disagreed. [More]Time to figure out which sheriffs back that position and modify their career plans...It's hard for me to imagine anything more "meaningless" than executive director Jeff Moore having any say whatsoever in any of this.
Gun Owners of South Africa (GOSA) publicly challenge the Minister to request that the Auditor-General, Mr. Terrence Nombembe, conduct a forensic audit of the implementation of the Firearms Control Act of 2000 since it was signed into law 11 years ago. [More]I suspect the government already knows what the results will show...
N.Y. warns laggards: 'The quality of our background check is going to be compromised' [More]Seeing how that has absolutely no effect on limiting access to those who would criminally misuse guns, and seeing how insanity has been defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, why, that's just crazy talk.
As expected, if a bit later than expected, the Oregon legislature (well some Oregon legislators who don't want their names used) have introduced or drafted new anti-rights bills. [More]I guess if I were abusing authority to undermine human liberty and dignity, I'd want to kind of do it on the sly too...
No specific numbers on how many of those guns "recovered in Mexico and traced back to the United States" were, in fact, military purchases, but the State Department cables indicate a portion of the fewer than 12 percent of the traceable weapons actually came from the United States in gun shop/individual type purchases. Remember, that's not 12 percent of the tens of thousands of weapons recovered - it's only 12 percent of the weapons recovered that were traceable. It's nowhere near the 12 percent figure that has been misquoted and used as evidence of the United State's "horrific" problem of illegal gun sales. [More]Who is using a paltry "12" to misrepresent things?
That is curious. Especially in the absence of information about who decided the Mexican nationals are not accessories (or even material witnesses), and how that was determined. After all, whether they were complicit to the shooting or not, they were illegally present at the scene of a crime in which a law enforcement officer was killed.Today's Gun Rights Examiner report wonders if everybody who needs to has had a chance to ask questions. Ain't it something that we have to question that?
No? [More]
One of the most noted events in Pluckemin (Washington spelled it Pluckamin) was The Grand Alliance Ball of 1779 in Pluckemin.(Sometimes spelled Pluckamin) General Washington and 400 others attended the celebration held on the grounds of the Boylan House in 1779. The ball celebrated the first anniversary of the alliance with France, which ended in victory for the allies at Yorktown. The ball was attended by more than 400 dignitaries. [More]
Feedback that Gun Owners of South Africa are receiving indicates that up to 50% of gun license applications are being refused. [More]I was hoping to do a Gun Rights Examiner column on this, but Project Gunwalker demands have me so wrapped around the axle I doubt I'll have the time--so just wanted to help get this link circulating before GOSA's email gets lost in the deluge...
The decline of "real journalism" justifies federal involvement, according to Copps. [More]
As it is, Grassley seems to be out there all by himself, trying to uncover the truth. He deserves some company from fellow members of the U.S. Senate... [More]Dave Workman's latest. And yes, Grassley does.
Professional victim Colin Goddard has managed the alchemists' dream of turning the lead of the four bullets with which he was shot, into the gold of a paid position...[More]Ol' Kurt just keeps getting better and better at this, doesn't he?
Further corroboration has been given to Grassley staffers by a gun store employee. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report offers an alternative to those with no "personal knowledge."
This demonstrates the senator is serious about this and will not tolerate willful noncompliance. It also marks a serious miscalculation on the part of ATF bureaucrats and their Department of Justice handlers, and has produced what, for them, is no doubt the unintended consequence of steeling Grassley's resolve to pursue his investigation over all attempts to refuse cooperation. [More]This evening's Gun Rights Examiner column notes the stakes just got higher. It also notes you're not getting this news from any "mainstream" networks or newspapers--which is why I keep on harping for regular readers to share these links.
