We're the Only Ones Piercing Enough

Virginia Beach officer accused of stabbing firefighters [More]
And as a first year officer he's still on probation? Looks like he made the cut.

We're the Only Ones Taking It Off Enough

Officer Ingo Mayer pulled the men's Cadillac over in December 2005 for no apparent reason and then handcuffed and detained Lucas.

Mayer then undid Lucas's belt buckle, causing his pants to fall down to his ankles and shook his boxers against his genitals after pulling them down half way... [More]
I wonder what disability caused ol' Ingo to take early retirement?

The Ultimate Outcome

These people cannot be reasoned with. They feel, they want – and they hate. Your quaint notions about property rights being the essential foundation of human rights are like the Latin scrolls of Cicero trampled underfoot by the hordes of the Germanic chieftan Odoacer as Rome slipped forever into that long good night. [More]
The ultimate outcome depends on us.

We're the Only Ones Going to the Dogs Enough

Officers tell us they fatally shot the boxer to prevent it from attacking officers. The pregnant chihuahua was caught in the line of fire and was also killed. [More]
Thank goodness the police chief reviewed it to determine if it was justified!

Lyin'tific American

To be effective, a new set of institutions would have to be imbued with heavy-handed, transnational enforcement powers. [More]
Transnational enforcers? Oh, he means targets.

These scientific types use such big words.

So...Gary Stix: Will you back up that heavy hand with a rifle, or just demand that others do?

I guess being an ivory tower conjecturer instead of a lab guy, observing physical reactions isn't your strong suit. Unless it's the physical reaction fantasizing about ruthless brutes in jackboots evidently gives you...

This Day in History: March 22

On March 22, Brig. Gen. Alexander Leslie was leading a British force toward Dayton Hall and Middleton Place. At the bridge crossing at St. Andrew's Creek, they were fired upon by some Patriot artillery. At 7:00 pm, Capt. Ewald took a small detachment and crossed the creek. When they arrived at the Patriot position, they found that the Patriots had abandoned it. They spotted the retreating Patriots and attacked them. A small skirmish ensued, with both sides withdrawing after a few casualties on the British side. [More]

Obama EO Webinar

Stewart Rhodes will be participating tonight. [Info.]

Unfortunately, No I Do Not

Unfortunately, the author repeats a commonly quoted falsehood that does as much harm as good, IMHO: “The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms.”[More]
No I do not. Read the damn thing. I specifically take the administration to the woodshed for that. Good grief, I even cite SCOTUS to prove they know they're lying.

A lot of work and thought go into these things. What does more harm than good: forum bloviators who express opinions based on either skimming them, reading headlines, or reacting to the comments of others.

That no one has called him on it yet reinforces my point.

Thune-Vitter Reciprocity Bill

Read GOA's latest alert. Then act. [More]

It's practically effortless and only takes a moment.

Helping Hands

At present, Hands doesn’t have a lawyer.

So for our first Houston Advocate case, we’d like to reach out to our readers. Any ideas about how this 92-year-old can be reunited with his weapons? [More]
I've forwarded this to some people who may be able to get this taken care of...

I Don't Know Art But I Know What I Like

Brilliant.  This guy deserves to be famous. [More]

How he managed to do this without a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts, I'll never know.  I guess if he'd dipped some crucifixes in urine...

That kind of illustrates the difference between the two Americas, don't you think?

A Matter of Perception

Notice they never use this crap to advocate disarming the "Only Ones." [Read]

Hey, you don't want to tamper with a defense that works.

When Trains Are Outlawed...

The man was the fifth person struck by a Metro train in a suicide attempt so far this year. [More]
Shoot, that's more than a "spate."

We're the Only Ones Sharing Enough

IRS may share tax info with police to fight fraud [More]
They always seem to have a "good" reason, don't they.

Twist around and raise your wrists behind your back a bit more...? We need to make sure these knots don't come loose...

Will Indiana gun owners let GOP establishment foist Lugar on us all again?

Where the battle will be is in the primary, so the ball is now in the court of Indiana gun owners.  If you are one, what real efforts and expenditures will you personally make to toss the scoundrel Lugar out on his ear? How will you join together with other gun owners to make that your goal and then to attain it? [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report looks at a race that should be a no-brainer for gun owners--assuming  gun owners will focus their brains on it and then actually do something.

Vanderboegh Medical Update

Just got off the phone with Mike--he is undergoing a very painful procedure to...uh...move things along.

They may actually be releasing him on Friday, but I'll believe it when I see it.  When I talk to him he sounds like he's been through what he's been through.

I see from Sipsey Street some feel inclined to comment.  I wish you wouldn't, and would instead consider the effort it requires of him to respond, and the fighter's personality that compels him to.  I wish you'd do this instead--if you want to be helpful, send him your best wishes in a card.  From my post-op report:

Support can still be sent via the donation button at Sipsey Street Irregulars, and to   P.O. Box 926, Pinson, AL 35126...Cards can be sent to him via Trinity Medical Center, 800 Montclair Road, Birmingham, AL 35213.

This Day in History: March 21

THE EDINBURGH ADVERTISER, Scotland, March 21, 1780 Page 2 has a report noting: "...we are informed that since the retreat of the French & rebels from Georgia, that province is restored to a state of perfect tranquility. Those who had the insolence to refuse his Majesty's gracious offers of protection & security...have at least, either through fear or from conviction, submitted & enrolled themselves amongst the King's liege subjects..." Good ol' "Authorized Journalists"--they never change, do they?
