But without specifics detailing how funds raised under the auspices of holding Eric Holder legally accountable and obtaining justice for the Terry family are to be earmarked, it would be reasonable to assume all moneys raised will go toward general organizational expenses and goals (and of course, consultant fees). [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column notes how those who have done the least are trying to elbow their way in to get the most--and actually messing things up their single-minded focus on the cash. Besides which, using Brian Terry and his family as a fundraising hook without a note affirming express family endorsement just strikes me as pretty damn insensitive and borderline ghoulish.

Fast and Furious fundraising email plays into ‘partisan witch hunt’ accusation
How It All Started
[T]he Republican-led House picked up on the NRA’s charges and launched an aggressive investigation. [More]Really, Ken Klukowski?
You know that for a fact?

We're the Only Ones Religious Enough
"In PACA, you cannot speak out against the city, nor the police department, you cannot associate yourself with people who are speaking out, and you cannot cause any kind of problem in the city as long as you're carrying a PACA badge," said Rev. Jefferson. [More]They issue stinking badges...?
Why?
It looks like the Ft. Worth chapter provides "distinct clothing and official governmental identification."
Good Lord, that's creepy.

Great job, "Authorized Journalists"!
On the plus side, at least it wasn't a dark colored sedan doing the shooting this time.

And look, the antis are bragging about it on Facebook--and promising to go after the next venue NRA tries to use--seems they hate the First Amendment as much as they do the Second:

Police Seek "Dark Colored" Killer Sedan
Detectives say Stone was just out for a morning jog, on his normal route, when a dark-colored, four-door sedan pulled by, slowed down, fired several shots at him, then pulled off, without ever stopping. [More]Oh, wait, this version has more detail, albeit it presents the same assumption about autovolition:
I wonder why some "Authorized Journalists" take it on themselves to suppress basic and essential facts about violent crimes, especially when it's the public that's at risk, and it's the public being appealed to to help identify the seda...uh...killers at large.
Several people witnessed Stone’s murder. They told police a dark-colored car driving north on 67th Street passed Stone as he was jogging, and without slowing down, opened fire on him. Witnesses say there were two black men inside the car.
Not really. It's a simple pincer maneuver. The attack on the other flank accuses those who advocate armed self-defense of being paranoid racists, seething with unfounded hatred and fear (due to our all having tiny wieners, no doubt). Even though time and again the premise that the police can't protect people is borne out, and even though we'd also want to know if a stalking monster "looked like" someone besides Obama's imaginary son from his composite girlfriend.
This Day in History: May 17
Reports of minor raids, rumors of intended movements by the enemy on a large scale, actual suffering on the part of the settlers for want of provisions, depreciation in Continental currency which had by now become practically worthless, and the difficulties of affording a semblance of protection by reinforcing the meager garrisons already posted, due to the impossibility of obtaining supplies for the militia, the only force available for this service, had by May brought about a most lamentable condition on the frontiers. As a result of this condition the more remote settlements were reported as daily breaking up and Colonel Van Schaick was led to express (1) the fear that unless some speedy and effectual measures were taken to inspire the despondent people with confidence, Schenectady would in all probability soon be the frontier to the westward. ‘We’ve Spent Enough Time Playing Small Ball' [More]

In other news, he was "very pleased with the sandwiches." When it says he "pushed Obama" on Fast and Furious, it's not clear if small balls came into play...
Obama memorials bury Fast and Furious law enforcement deaths
While disappointing, it’s hardly surprising, especially considering no one in the “mainstream press” elected to deem that development newsworthy, consistent with their documented record of ignoring or misdirecting the Fast and Furious story. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column notes leave it to this administration to diss the memories of Gunwalker victims while purporting to honor all fallen officers.
Blood on Their Hands Update
Tired of the media’s lack of serious interest in addressing the explosive nature of the scandal, award-winning documentary maker Michael McNulty...decided it was time to take action.[More]The New American notices this.
It sure looks like a lot more people who say they're outraged and want to see the truth come out need to.

Think they should?
Think the Associated Press in particular has an agenda?
Think most Angelenos would give a damn if you told them they were being hustled, or is the conditioning--what did Holder call it?--"brainwashing"--that complete?

We're the Only Ones Not Giving Back to the Community Enough
The Second Amendment Foundation has filed a federal lawsuit against the police departments in San Francisco and Oakland, California for refusing to return firearms to people who had been charged with crimes, but subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing. [More]The thing is, monopoly of violence cultists consider gun ownership by any but the "Only Ones" to be "wrongdoing."
The other thing is, these lawsuits aren't cheap, and the precedents they establish benefit more than just the plaintiffs. Take a look at all the ones they're funding throughout the land as well as their past successes.
They could sure use a hand.
