TSA Keeping Us Safe

I put my 87-year-old mother on an airplane this morning.  They took her aside and wanded/patted her down.

Hotmail Hacked

My Hotmail edress got hijacked and sent out what I must assume is a malware link to my address book.  Either that or someone is spoofing my email address.  I just changed my password and am doing a scan to see if anyone has gotten into my machine.

Sorry for the inconvenience--please know I surf responsibly, don't open suspicious links or go to sites unapproved by my McAfee site adviser, and also do regular Malware Bytes scans.

If you clicked on the link in the email you received, better scan your computer.

UPDATE: Malwarebytes scan:
Now I'll do a McAfee scan.

UPDATE: Clean:
I sent out emails to everyone in my address book warning against the bogus emails--it looks like everyone got several of them because Hotmail kept telling me the messages weren't sent so I sent them again.

I'm not sure how this whole sorry episode happened--one person suggested it may be a Facebook app allowing it to access Hotmail, but I don't use that for anything but posting links.  Anyway, my productivity for the day has been pretty much shot.

A More Limited Scale.

‘Crime gun’ trace map withholds key data needed to draw meaningful conclusions

Note the widget doesn't tell the whole story--and that's a calculated decision. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes there are lies, damned lies, and interactive maps prepared by public radio weenies with an agenda.

Affecting the Outcome

So can you, "friend."

Why won't you?

What was Ambassador Steven's role in the Gun Running?

Good question.  Not that this administration will want to answer. [Read]

I don't have any real faith the next one will, either, assuming the get in.

Isn't that something? I don't have a problem in the world believing that conclusion without even reading the article. Which I recommend you do.

And then watch this video about U.S. troops and the Mexican drug war.

Cause and Effect

Poverty causes gun crime [More]
Shoot. I wish my parents and immigrant grandparents had known about that moral "out" back in the Depression.  Heck, I even qualified back in college, when I was renting a closet in a house where my bed touched three walls, working a minimum wage part-time job and going to school full time.

What the Commie-in-Chief is saying is more than the moral equivalent of blaming rape victims for being attractive targets.  He's justifying savagery and evil.  He's approving it.

In the Docket

Leonard Embody's case... [More

Here's the cert petition.

Will SCOTUS elect to hear it? I know many on "our side" put the guy down for being provocative, and others are worried that it's not the right case at the right time and will set bad precedent, but really, since when are self-designated Second Amendment activists supposed to side with "Only Ones" taking any of the people hostage at gunpoint for simply bearing arms?

There's something to be said for knowing what limits the courts think can be imposed. You can't push them if you don't know exactly where they are.
