Homeland Security Inspector General’s report on Fast and Furious still unfiled

A footnote in the report following that revelation then explains “The ICE agent who was assigned to ATF’s Group VII declined our request for a voluntary interview.”

Why? And why is no one asking that? [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes when it comes to stonewalling on Fast and Furious, Janet Napolitano is every bit the equal of Eric Holder.

My luck is terrible with contests--also I don't want to use it up and screw my chances for that $185M Powerball jackpot--you know, the one where your odds of winning are about the same as if you never bought a ticket at all out to around eight decimal points...

All I have to do is pick six lousy numbers and I can't even do that right.

How "common sense" of them. Still, those calling for leniency are really advocating for "Only Ones" elitism, and that's no good, either.

Speculation on Holder replacement puts Deval Patrick on short list

Obama, of course, knows all this. It's why names like these would be foremost in his considerations and reflects that new-found "flexibility" he perceives is his as the restrictions that have always been his goal emerge from "under the radar." He's counting on a supportive media and an establishment Republican leadership that time and again through the years has equated appeasement with pragmatism. He's counting on an attorney general that will help him push whatever he wants through the courts and he's counting on Supreme Court replacements that will let him get away with it. [More
This evening's Gun Rights Examiner report looks at a Who's Who of gungrabbers being considered for the slot of top enforcer, and lays out what NRA must be prepared to do without prompting if this materializes--something they refused to do last time.

Veterans Day 2012

This is my first passing of this day without this principled, wise, strong and exemplary human being in my life.  He was my hero, the one I imprinted off of, the one I consciously use as my template for how a man is supposed to conduct himself.

What a blessing, to have enjoyed a lifetime of memories that resulted in my feeling this way.

Wave of violence sweeps over 'Alpha World City' in spite of restrictive gun laws

The fact is, Brazil could be looked at as a laboratory of sorts to help determine the effectiveness of citizen disarmament proposals being made for the United States under the guise of “common sense” measures that promise to reduce the violence. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes a failed experiment some are determined to keep repeating--with us as the lab rats.

Media ‘gun control’ proponents argue there's no longer any need to fear NRA

“Profiles in apathy” has long been a theme expressed here, and should rightfully be considered as great an enemy of freedom as the most rabid of gun-grabbers. That gun owners must organize and pool their strength together is a given, and that so many ignore the call to muster and instead draw their curtains while others march to the green does more to give aid and comfort to their attackers than anything. [More
Today's Gun Rights Examiner commentary notes a perception of vulnerability that's not altogether misplaced.

Stolen gun report a sign of things to come from Obama’s second term

Obama’s need to keep things under the radar is no more. Now it’s time for building that transformational “legacy” pundits were talking about Tuesday night, and also, because he perceives the momentum is on his side, time for one other thing. [More
