We're the Only Ones Riding the Gravy Train Enough

The Sun Sentinel obtained city payroll data and found a dozen undercover narcotics officers since 2010 have collectively earned $1.2 million in overtime. A sergeant who has run the stings collected more than $240,000 in overtime during that three-and-a-half year period. [More]
And that's just what we know about.

So they're luring dangerous criminals into their towns?  In other words, to keep the trough full, they're actually endangering people in the areas they're being payed to ... what are they being paid to do again?

We're the Only Ones Defensive Enough

What about you? Ha! [More]

This "officer" would happily arrest you.

Can't We All Get Along?

The trio mixed with a gun show crowd that was mostly welcoming [More]

And the organizer gave them a guided tour? And some actually applauded?

No wonder New York is such a mess.

"The Sensible Choice"

You know, a ban. [More]

Because we said so.

So there.

What do we actually know about them?

What does that have to do with it?

Simply Unacceptable!

How dare they try to share the truth with us, of all people, especially on a day that marks our past rejection of it...? [More]

Selective "Reporting"

It's what the "legitimate news media" does. [More]

What else would we expect? It's Slate.

Increasingly Desperate New York Republicans

Author Bracken offers free ‘bleeding-edge dystopian thrillers' downloads

From October 14 through 17, readers can download the first book in the series, “Enemies Foreign and Domestic.” The second novel, “Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista,” will be offered from October 21 through 24, and the final installment, “Foreign Enemies and Traitors,” will be offered from October 28 through 31. [More]

Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes reading is fundamental, especially when the material is written by someone who understands the dynamics involved.

Scrambling for Cover

There are many others out there, too, like Mike Vanderbough [sic] and David Codrea who broke the story on the Project Gunwalker scandal. What are the chances they’ll be covered? [More]
I guess that depends on whether we're referring to government approval or fill dirt, seeing as how we're traitors 'n all...

If You Can't Trust a UN Messenger of Peace, Who Can You Trust?

Michael Douglas lied? [More]

A candle in the wind always did kind of flicker every which way.

Stupid trees!

A Capital Crime

Remember when Obama postured like he wanted everyone to tone down the rhetoric?

He just meant for his thinly-veiled accusation to shut the opposition up while the media portrays him as the voice of tolerant moderation and reason.

Here's his senior adviser throwing out words like "economic traitors" against those who oppose his policies.

Ace of Spades reminds us who else used that terminology.

And Kurt constantly reminds us of another group that throws out such terminology.

Follow that to its end point.

This is why ceding an inch of ground to these people is a fatally flawed approach. Of course they'll take it.  And then they'll "lean forward" for more.

I...I'm Only a Dolphin, Ma'am...

Was does CSGV insisting they no longer wish to ban handguns remind me of this old SNL skit?

This Day in History: October 14

I have the honor to render you an account of the corps under my command in your attack of last night, upon the redoubt on the left of the enemy’s lines. [More]

New Boston ATF head’s Fast and Furious ties raise questions

Someone might also ask new ATF Director B. Todd Jones if a plum assignment is what he means by holding personnel involved in Fast and Furious accountable. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner exclusive report asks questions literally no one else is asking.  Why do you think that is, and will you join in demanding answers?

The First Amendment According to Park Rangers

As I approached the top of the steps, one of the three (!) guards told me to leave. I mentioned the First Amendment exception, and that freedom of assembly seems to be part of that. He advised me that the area to assemble is only down below the monument, not at the monument itself. Somehow I missed that exception to that particular amendment. So I proceeded to read the First Amendment, loudly, for the audience below. [More]
Is it any wonder we all love government enforcers so?
