Excuse for firing clerk over gun defense reeks of corporate double-talk

“At Nouria Energy, our employees are our most cherished assets,” they unctuously proclaim on their website home page. “Their safety and the safety of our customers is priority number one.”

Somehow, the immortal line spoken by John Vernon in “The Outlaw Josey Wales” comes to mind. [More]
This afternoon’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes gutless corporate management sure makes those gas station stores convenient – for predators.

I don't have an hour-and-a-half to watch this right now, so can't endorse it from personal experience. I'm trusting based on my source that it will prove worth the time investment. [Watch]

Deserving of Neither

More disturbing than the predictable push to eliminate privacy rights is the public’s utter acquiescence in the face of the growing police state. [More]

Occam's Razor

If a power is not listed, then the federal government does NOT have that power. [More]
At least not lawfully and morally.  But practically, they have whatever power over us we allow them to assume.

Defeat Garden

Oh, I see, Michelle's garden "fell victim." Dysfunctional rot at the White House can't be  blamed on its caretakers.  [More]

Ed makes an excellent point. Seeing as how she has no Constitutional duties, how many dishes has the First Housewife washed since the administration began furloughing "non-essential workers"? How many toilets has she scrubbed?

At least we know what's "essential".

Bloomberg tied to German move to occupy New Jersey ‘smart gun’ market

As for the company’s move to terminate ownership of non-disabled guns in New Jersey and then branch outward to the rest of the Republic, Stephen Teret from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the founding director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research, who has been working on “smart gun” technology for 30 years, was happy to weigh in. [More]
Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes shrewd profiteers behind the “smart gun” conspiracy.

Moms Press Staples for a Gun Ban

Just when you thought it was safe to buy office supplies, a small group of misguided moms is demanding that peaceful and law-abiding gun owners render themselves defenseless before they peruse the aisles for toner cartridges and mechanical pencils. “Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America,” or more accurately, “Moms Demand Gun Bans,” is insisting that the office supply chain, Staples, post its stores against the legal carry of firearms. [More]
That's part of the Bloomberg network, of course.  So naturally they describe themselves as a "grassroots movement," which makes me think of nothing so much as what  there's plenty of at the local dog park...

In re Staples, remind 'em of this and the 40 stores they closed earlier this year, and ask if they'd really like to staple things shut with gun owners.
