Tell the damn Republican establishment they either do what we tell them or they can all go to hell.
But that means a Democrat will win.
Yeah. And you tell him to go to hell, too, and refuse to obey.
It's down to that.

What? They're not?
Then why are they evidently feeling so personally confident?

The Chicken or the Egg
The problem for the BATFE is that the receivers are apparently not made that way. [More]Funny, how they make their problem everyone else's...and now that they've very publicly committed themselves, they have quite a bit of face with egg all over it to save.

We're the Only Ones Reclassifying Enough
Given the finding of homicide—and the corroborating evidence at the crime scene—the Chicago Police Department should have counted Groves’s death as a murder. And it did. Until December 18. On that day, the police report indicates, a lieutenant overseeing the Groves case reclassified the homicide investigation as a noncriminal death investigation. [More]See? We told you Garry McCarthy's single-minded fixation on disarming you and me would pay off!
This Day in History: April 8
I have heretofore congratulated your Excellency on your Victories over our Enemy’s Generals, I can now do the same on your having overthrown their Politicians. Your late Success have so strengthened the hands of Opposition in Parliament, that they are become the majority, and have compelled the King to dismiss all his old Ministers and their adherents. The unclea[n] Spirits he was possessed with, are now cast out of him: but it is imagined that as soon as he has obtained a Peace, they will return with others worse than themselves, and the last State of that Man, as the Scripture says, shall be worse than the first. If Only They Would Disarm You and Me
Jamara Stevens was fatally shot Saturday morning with a gun that police believe was brought into the home by the mother's boyfriend a few hours earlier. [More]Yeah, I used to do that with/to my girlfriends' children all the time...I'm sure we could all tell stories like that.
No?

Speechifyin'
Here's the audio of my Saturday speech in Hartford. [Listen]
I understand video will be available shortly, and will pass that along when it is, along with an after-rally report, but the good thing about "sound only" is you can't see how wiped out I looked. I'll confess, it took every ounce of physical endurance to make the trip to and from, and to stand for hours in the cold. I'm surprised I'm not bedridden right now, but the day is young.
This getting old and mortal is for the birds. Especially since Jonathan, the guy who put this together, had a wonderful-smelling cigar he was smoking and indicated he had one for me, and I had to beg off because I'm not ready to resume my normal life of revelry and debauchery just yet...

Soldiers as Targets
And we, the supposedly elite paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division, ran like frightened rabbits, because in a "gun-free" zone, the armed predator is king. [More]Kurt shares some memories to remind us that for the people we read about in the news, it's as personal as you can get.
