We're the Only Ones Politically Impossible Enough

There are things that can be done to curb the abuses without taking on the politically impossible job of disbanding SWAT units. [More]
Hey anything is possible. Maybe if it's not approached as a political problem...

I wonder if Wayne still is, especially after this:
Or this...

New York Republican "Justice"

"The ruling, handed down on Thursday by state Supreme Court Judge Thomas McNamara, also says Robert Schulz and his co-plaintiffs did not prove that the Safe Act infringes on their state constitutional rights." [More]
No, of course not.

What do you expect from a functionary appointed by Pataki?

This is what happens when you accept anti-gun Republicans under the excuse that if you don't, you'll get a Democrat.

As Hillary asks...

Help Needed--Including with Media Relations

Oath Keepers puts out a plea for ongoing support at Bundy Ranch. [More]

Stewart is doing great work there, and made Mike's attendance possible.

That said, and as much as I have supported the group over the years, they absolutely need to shut down guys like this in no uncertain terms before irreparable damage is done. (Yeah, look at the cap.) If he can't handle the pressure, send him home.

I know people are tired and nerves are frayed, but there's really no excuse, especially as pervasive media coverage is exactly what is needed to prevent another Waco. And unnecessary drama like in the linked video does nothing but alienate.

I intend to speak to him about this.

By Popular Demand

Popular gun rights writer David Codrea noted ... in his Examiner.com blog that he “warned back in 2009 that Obama’s pick to head the [federal job safety] agency, David Michaels, was strongly anti-gun and committed to using regulatory schemes to get his way.” [More]
Well, thank you for the kind characterization, and I can only wish, but in truth, one Miley Cyrus crotch-grabbing story in the "legitimate" press will attract more eyes in a day than the entire body of my work has done since I first started.

The ol' pH Factor 'n all...

We're the Only Ones Family-Oriented Enough

I am taking care of me… I am afraid. At that moment I did not know he was handcuffed. I responded the way I was trained to respond. I reacted to what I saw. If I fail, I don’t come home to my family.”[More]
We could say the same thing...

#WeAreEverywhere

We’re going through the proper process for transitioning our Demand Action page to ‘Everytown,’ which takes a few weeks, and acquiring trademark protection for both Everytown and Everytown for Gun Safety. Once that happens, we expect Facebook to shoo these cybersquattters politely off this name/page.” [More]
Hey, what happened to getting there first? These dopes never thought of claiming names before they committed to them?

Should we let them know about this, too? [UPDATE: And this?]

Here's one thing they can't derail: They're promulgating the Twitter hashtag #WeAreEverytown which just cries out to be met with #WeAreEverywhere.

We're the Only Ones Commissioned Enough

The murderous Fort Hood shooting spree last week could have been prevented if military leaders were allowed to carry firearms on base, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul said Sunday. [More]
Great idea Mike-- that way, only MAJOR Hassan would have been armed for the first shooting spree!

No wonder YOU'RE chairman!

UPDATE: It's been pointed out I overlooked the part about "senior enlisted men," so do I need to add the category of "NCOOs"...?

Nothing to Fear But Fear Itself

That and executive orders... [More]

I wonder if they've thought through the enforcement implications, particularly with so many of us who just won't play.

A Message from Mike

He can also call me if there's anything that needs to be passed along.

An Idea Whose Time Hasn't Come

Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) has introduced a bill called the "Contempt Act," which would prevent current and future federal employees from collecting their taxpayer-funded salaries as long as they're being held in contempt of Congress. [More]
Unfortunately:
Prognosis 18% chance of getting past committee.
5% chance of being enacted.
Contemptible.

Kansas Jewish facility shootings show 'Never again' must be more than words

He also had good reason to suspect his target locations would offer slim resistance. A phone call placed by an ally working with the Kansas State Rifle Association to the Jewish Center went unanswered due to the Passover holiday, but a call to Village Shalom confirmed they are posted "No Guns." A follow-up visit this morning showed both facilities are posted. Even though such signs don't carry the force of law in the Sunflower State, except to pursue trespass charges if a person asked refuses to leave, they serve to establish both a notice to those with evil intent, as well as a cultural expectation among patrons and visitors, so that even people in parking lots who habitually frequent such facilities will likely not be armed. [More]
Oh, and despite what the Every Day is Opposite Day "progressives" would like us to believe, there's some inconvenient documented information on a notorious political movement they'd rather we remained unaware of...

O Canada

Police remove a body from the scene of a multiple fatal stabbing in northwest Calgary. Five people died from their injuries. [More]
Because as the gun rights prevention control freaks love to remind us, knife attacks aren't deadly, or dangerous, or something like that... Hell, just ask Sharon Tate!

I get the "panic" part, but the only "moral" issue is on those who mandate human beings be defenseless.

The MILMs, of course, are delighted that no one was shot, and St. Michael just regrets he can't add this to his list of accomplishments as he FastPass+'s his way through the Pearly Gates...
