GOA appears headed for a repeat of a self-created conflict.

To their credit, and deserving of our gratitude, they have been alone in identifying a gestating threat, and successful to the point of drawing desperate Prozi flak. But for some reason, their political arm refuses to follow through with rating impacts, despite numerous behind-the-scenes pleas from longtime strong supporters.

Time was, I could give their grades a credibility edge over the other guys, especially when the "competition" offers a feeble "single issue" excuse to provide cover for competing interests. It's awful tough calling for organized involvement when the leader refuses to press a unique advantage on THE hot-button issue of our time around which motivated activists can rally.

If anything has the potential to change the political landscape over the next decade and more, to the detriment of RKBA interests at the polls, this is it.

I look forward to being able to resume my unequivocal support for GOA grades.  When that will be, I can't say.

That first part is all that should matter to us. For a company that never wanted this distraction in their stores and were forced to walk a tightrope, what more do "we" demand from them?

This is no victory for the antis. If they tell people it is, they're liars, which should not come as a big news flash.

If someone doesn't want to fight and is leaving you alone, don't back him into a corner. If you do, expect him to react in his interests, not yours.

If you still don't like it, you don't have to shop there. Me, in the absence of belligerent aggression that invites further observations, I'm moving on.

UPDATE: Well, I thought I was moving on, but do want to chime in one more time to present Workman/s take. Since posting this, I've seen some gunner indignation from groups and individuals along with pledges to boycott Target -- as I said, if that's your pleasure, do what you think best. As far as organizing action to communicate with management, I don't see the effort it would take to nudge an already forced corporate position being worth it, especially with so many other more dangerous priorities to focus energy on.

Am I the Only One Who Thinks This is Kind of Cool?

I'm envisioning "Harry Potter"-style newspapers with moving images (and no, I'm not interested in hosting that debate here).  And who knows what else?  [More] 

Yeah, sure, this could be abused (most likely by government to spy on us), but so could anything. If that's a reason to deny the benefits to people who would use and enjoy it responsibly, well, we might as well have "gun control," too.

Hell, if you just rolled Forbes Magazine up or folded up The New York Times, those could be used as potentially lethal weapons.

Mindful of the downside, what stands out most for me here is this:

I just set a small hare of C4 on my Forbes Magazine and destroyed it.

I'm a bit out of my depth here, as I have no experience with explosives and don't even know what a "hare" is, but really? Is he joking?

If not, did that require any authorization and documentation, and does every bit of it in inventory need to be accounted for, or is it available for elites to use on a whim, with no oversight?
