I may just start calling it "F*** Y** Issue," because unless you're a crony, that's what they mean.

We're the Only Ones Paramilitary Enough

And a Child Shall Lead Them
Who better to establish the curriculum to be taught than young "progressives" who don't actually know anything? [More]
Who better to decide on history than those with none?
Happy Opposite Day!
I don't suppose these kids -- and those behind them -- would be interested in this...?

This Day in History: September 24
The sum of the intelligence which they bring concerning negociations for peace, is that the sincerity manifested at one period by the Court of London in her advances towards a pacification had been succeeded by an apparent design to draw the negociations into length with a hope of such further advantages during the campaign as would enable her to rise in her demands. Leniency for ‘anti-violence activist’ who took gun to school suggests favoritism
Adding to the dubious nature of the sentence, where Ferguson evidently has avoided a felony conviction and thus becoming a “prohibited person” from owing a gun, is the fact that he was also a committed anti-gun activist, being a big supporter of New York’s SAFE Act, which carries felony criminal penalties for violators. He actually thought the law did not go far enough. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes if you're going to get popped for breaking "gun laws," it helps if you're one of those demanding more of them.
Told Ya Feeding Trolls Was Fun
Comments are picking up and they're really showing what they're all about. [More]
Who wants to have a "national conversation on guns" with these animals?
Use of Force
With ... the force of more than 2 million dedicated supporters... [More]Prove it.
Here are the ones to beat.
Funny. The ones I checked all look like safe, no-risk bets. I'll need to dig into this when I get a moment.
Nuts
A state appeals court has ruled that judges cannot appoint lawyers at taxpayer expense to represent people applying to restore their right to possess firearms after they’ve undergone court-ordered psychiatric treatment. [More]We can bury you in the hole, but if you want out, you'll have to do all the digging yourself.
I still want to know the mechanism by which a shrink can and will certify that a person is now safe to own a gun again, and not be risking his reputation and career.

We're the Only Ones Guilty Enough
We want to recover as many of those weapons as we can so they don’t fall into the wrong hands,” said IMPD Lt. Chris Bailey. “And that they aren’t used to take an innocent life or the life of a police officer.” [More]Hey, it's his distinction, not mine.

I dunno. I've always been kind'a partial to Tarzan's Ape-English Dictionary, myself. It makes a hell of a lot more sense.

Bear Necessities
I don't need to outrun the bear. I only need to outrun you. [More]
John Comeau reminds his Facebook followers of that, and notes it's not so funny when it happens in real life.
I'm glad that when I had my surprise evening black bear encounter years back, I had a gun. I don't claim that's what persuaded it to leave me alone, but I do believe it probably had some bearing on my demeanor, and that could have had the effect of allowing me to draw, take aim, talk gentle and low, slowly back away, and get the kids in the cabin. I'm also pretty happy that when I initially yelled in shock on seeing the thing 20 feet away, it sounded more like a roar and less like a screaming little girl. And I'm delighted that I didn't have to find out if what I had to stop it with would be "enough."
Finding out later two idiot city women had been leaving food scraps for it on the ground and watching from their balcony did not sit well with me at all. If I had to bet, my money says they'd have been horrified at the thought of a nearby "gun nut."

It's hard to tell if this involved simple incompetence or as yet undefined intent. [More]
And it's practically impossible to tell how many others are out there, due to the same reason(s).
The one thing you can predict with certainty though: When they go off by using a gun, you and I will be blamed.

Cuidado de Obama
The Obama administration has dragged its feet on revoking Obamacare coverage for people who can’t prove U.S. citizenship or legal residency, allowing some of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. to continue enjoying taxpayer-funded benefits, a Republican senator charged Monday. [More]So the Republican establishment is pushing the pathway because...?
