ATF classification compromise to redefine sporting use, ban certain ammo imports

ATF, in conjunction with certain members of Congress and lobbying interests, is working at “tweaking” its definition of the arbitrary “sporting use” term, insider sources tell Gun Rights Examiner. And with that will come a push to expand definitions to allow for further importation bans on certain types of presently legal ammunition. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner exclusive is the culmination of something I've been working on for the past week with insiders who have excellent track records as reliable sources. There is more, but I can't get more specific without unnecessarily compromising some people. Hopefully, this will push others to use their resources to confirm and elaborate.

It will be interesting to see if any attempts are made to suppress Mike.

If Wishes Were Fishes We'd All Cast Nets

Responsible Americans don't gamble the survival of the USA on some happy-meal, wish-upon-a-star theory that those overwhelming percentages will somehow magically reverse themselves if only Republicans "reach out" better ... What kind of delusional a-wipes bet not only their entire farm but YOURS and all their fellow citizens' entire farms on that sort of fairy tale thinking? [More]
This comment under yesterday's GRE column is an important standalone piece worthy of attention and sharing, as are so many of frequent comment poster Carlos Perdue's other observations. I wish he'd start a blog or some such so his posts would get more exposure instead of being buried in discussion threads.

Key gun rights questions likely to go unasked at NRA meeting

There's a chance to do something significant to alter the most likely outcome now, this weekend in Nashville. Chances are, though, no one of import in the gun community will put it to the members, or even allow it to be brought up. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes an opportunity that will be intentionally lost. Who wants to bet otherwise, and how much?

Talk about something I'd love to lose my shirt over. You can increase your chances of winning by taking a few seconds max to retweet this.

Calling for a Miracle

Unfortunately, that's what it would take for this to happen. [More]

That such an admission is obvious says much about how the Church has been compromised by "progressive" secularism.  Curious: the same political faction that embraces "gun control" abhors Christianity and holds it in contempt. That seems not to have occurred to the leadership -- either that or an embedded faction has undue insider influence on the leadership.

Aww g'won.  All the Alinskyite Prozis have been ridiculing that old hysterical "conservative" bugaboo for years.  Next you're going to be telling us the ones who mock that "No one wants to take your guns" are being less than candid.

Congressional Fast and Furious inquiry letter falls short, lacks teeth

And while the names of ATF personnel listed on the letter are appropriate ones for further investigation, there is another government employee who doesn't work for ATF, but who nonetheless had a documented involvement in Fast and Furious fallout that has never been satisfactorily explained. Curiously, at least for those of us interested in knowing more, all lines of inquiry on his involvement dead end directly into the White House: Kevin O’Reilly. [More]

Yeah, what the hell -- why not lump me 'n you in with all the problem people? Any similarities being shared with any statistical significance by the "one"? I mean, how much difference can there be between your house and a crack house? By the way, does "American" mean they just happen to be here? And they're all "owners" in the "lawful claim to property" sense of the term, right?

Doesn't matter. It gives the Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists at cBS"News" something to rub their nipples over.

Funny thing though -- with record numbers of guns owned, if this were true you'd think the rage shootings would be numbering in the millions by now instead of, you know, dropping.

Far be it from me to call Jeffrey Swanson a "progressive" agenda hack instead of a serious scientist or anything, especially when there are much more creative (and fun) pejoratives I could use...
