Radical as it may seem, perhaps it's time we took deadly force off the table for all but the most extreme of circumstances. In some countries, police don't even carry guns during day-to-day patrols and are still able to maintain law and order. [More]
And if our highly-trained, professionals are disarmed, why should we let you keep and bear arms?
This is something I've been pointing out
for at least 15 years:
It's know making its way into the "national conversation on guns"
with more frequency, and while I know some of you are fine with that, think through what that would mean, including how that does not make you a proponent of "gun control."
As for you "Only Ones" who have no problem coming after us mundanes, the bell is tolling for thee, and to quote a theme song of yours, "what'cha gonna do when they come for you?"
Polyphemus may promise to eat you last, but eat you he intends...
Me, I see such calls from zealots who just don't have the self-control to hold it all in as a good thing. Nothing like their ox getting gored to wake some people up, plus I'm sure the more pragmatic in the gun ban crowd would prefer not to have such plans openly discussed -- yet.
