Opposite Day "Progressives" Gone Wild
I don't suppose they've done a mandated environmental impact study on the effects of the lead they're prepared to introduce if anyone defies their petty tyranny...[More]
Utah Supreme Court: Employee Right to Self Defense Trumps Company Policy
Instapundit cites the opinion... [More]
Here's the decision.
Dissenting Associate Chief Justice Lee certainly sounds like he's never been forced to personally realize that any decisions resulting from a threat to your life have nothing to do with the money. He's probably never had to face the consequences of not acting...

Nothing Personal
[More]
Oh, good. For a moment there, I was afraid it may have been something I said or did...
I see the principled souls at Wikipedia didn't want their entry taken personally, either.
We Should Inspire More Kids Like Ahmed
[More]
Funny, I don't see full indignation mode Prozis saying anything about this -- or launching similar attacks against one of their media heroes...

"Trump is a Charlatan"
Maybe. [More]
Name one who's not, Jack Kelly. Do you have a solution, or are you just here to pee in the pool?
Because the other charlatans -- including those in the media abetting their efforts -- are trying to move energy and focus over to alternative charlatan Ben Carson, who has recommended the same 'Chicago/Cheyenne" 2A infringements as Obama, and who will pave that pathway right along with Jeb. That's because the establishment knows he and his more laid-back following will be easier to either sideline or outmaneuver.
So what do we do if Trump is lying?
I don't know -- what do "we" do if any of them are lying? And what's with "if"? Either a line will be crossed that's a catalyst for responsive actions or it won't be. Unless/until that happens, Trump at least is promulgating a message that is waking some people up and motivating others. Perhaps that's all the usefulness we can expect from the guy.
In the mean time, ain't no sin in noticing the increasing desperation of those with a vested interest in the cultural terraforming of the Republic.

AP Waco Shooting Analysis Makes Congressional Inquiry All the More Urgent
“We definitely appreciate you taking the time to contact Senator Grassley,” the staffer replied. “If you can give us your email or mailing address, the Senator will be able to send you a more detailed message regarding your comments. Thank you.” [More]Begin holding your breath for anything actually relevant and unequivocal ... NOW!
An Immigration Policy I Could Support
"...[T]hey must be able to speak Danish.” [More]That's for Syrians and Somalis coming here.
Just to show equal opportunity, if immigrants are native Europeans, maybe they should have to speak Urdu or something.
It would certainly get the numbers back to sustainable levels.
Bush Appointee Bars Fast and Furious Evidence from Terry Murder Trial
Bury’s ruling is not likely to lessen skepticism on the part of those who believe the system is rigged, and that for reasons yet unknown, wagons for both parties have been circled. [More]"Bury."
Appropriate name for the judge, eh?
Jiffy Pop, Jiffy Pop, the Magic Treat...
Unless that ammo is dangerous/defective, I'm trying to think of a legitimate reason for this. [Watch]
I'd accept because you can afford it and it's fun to watch.
What none of us should accept is this.

Something Must Be Done!
The Daily Caller picked up my latest GUNS Magazine "Rights Watch" column. [More]
Ignoring Bloomberg and Moms Demand Action, Kroger Continues Record Growth
So much for phony polls with loaded questions designed to produce predetermined propaganda campaign results. So much for social media, where the Bloomberg-funded and promoted hashtag #groceriesnotguns has only been used about a dozen times so far this month. Maybe having “snot” in their message wasn’t the best tactic. [More]Corporate extortion victims take note -- profits come from the grassroots, not from the AstroTurfers.
Taking Out Walls
Guns are part of American recreation and culture, and many people want them for home defense. My grandfather, of blessed memory, grew up in Pennsylvania and was part of that culture. He hunted regularly and belonged to the National Rifle Association. He told me he canceled his membership when the NRA insisted on the right to own assault weapons. He explained to me, "If you shoot an assault weapon in home defense, you'll take out a wall of your house. If you shoot a deer with it, there will be nothing left of the deer to bring home. It just doesn't make any sense." [More]He forgot the part about heat seeking ammunition cooking them from the inside...
With the resources available to learn the subject matter, there is really no excuse for this, other than Kapo Mezler is an ignorant, lazy and foolish man.
Wrong Again
Conservatives warn Ahmed Mohamed’s arrest was terrorist ‘setup’ to make Islamophobia seem racist [More]That's not what I warned at all, Travis Gettys, but you know that.
Ditto for characterizing a group that exists to uphold the oaths its members took to the Constitution as "anti-government" -- that can't be done except by Opposite Day Prozi liars.
Tell you what, though -- why don't you take my challenge and try to take that metal case with a Frankensteinian circuit board apparatus past the Secret Service and let us know how the experience turned out for you.
Opposition to Campus Carry Relies on Defenselessness and Offensive Stereotypes
People who behave responsibly don’t suddenly undergo a Jekyll-Hyde personality change by crossing an invisible property line. Someone who can be trusted to carry a gun across the street from a Florida university won’t suddenly morph into an agent of destruction simply by entering a campus. [More]You'd think even an academic would be smart enough to figure out defenselessness gives predators an advantage. You'd think.
Maybe there's something else going on here...
Some, But Not All
A federal appeals court has struck down as unconstitutional some of the District’s handgun registration laws, including requirements that gun owners re-register firearms every three years and are limited to registering only one pistol per month. [More]But:
The court did uphold other parts of the law, including the requirement that gun owners be fingerprinted and photographed.Because those obviously aren't infringements. Right?
