UPDATE: Regardless, it'll sure be nice to finally get rid of that $200,000 tax!

Ohioans for Concealed Carry (OFCC) just won a MAJOR POINT in our legal battle with the flamingly anti-gun City of Oberlin ... In the same decision the court upheld "mirror ordinances" which are gun ordinances that read identically to state law even though the Ohio Supreme Court has previously stated that such ordinances are displaced by ORC 9.68 statewide preemption.  Thus, the fight goes on. Our Bad -- But Your Problem

DOJ inadvertently disclosed the name, date of birth, and California Driver’s License and/or Identification Card numbers of potentially every single DOJ certified Firearm Safety Instructor in California to an unknown requestor.  DOJ allegedly discovered the breach on October 27—well over two months ago—but is just now notifying individuals. As if this wasn’t already cause for concern, in the recently submitted “assault weapon” regulations DOJ is attempting to include a “non-liability” clause. This clause requires all individuals who voluntarily register their firearms as “assault weapons” to hold DOJ harmless for any liability for hardware, software, information, or other issues associated with the registration process. Predictably, some were against it because it doesn't eradicate all infringements in one fell swoop. Also predictably, complaints were absent viable alternatives.

Broward County Sheriff Calls for ‘No Guns’ List for ‘Mentally Ill’ after Ft. Lauderdale Airport Murders

“Something has got to change,” Sheriff Israel told the Sun Sentinel, ignoring that reality, and leaving what that “something” is unsaid. “Israel didn’t know what form the laws should take, but said people diagnosed with mental-health issues, ‘should be put on some type of list that it’s mandatory that they not come in possession of firearms.’”
That’s right out of the “something must be done” playbook, and that opens the door to “anything goes.” Which, of course, is the plan. [More]

We're the Only Ones Forming a Perimeter Enough

There is an armed TSA bureaucrat sitting at a desk where you exit the terminal area and go into baggage claim.  He sits about ten paces from the first baggage carousel, where the shootings occurred.  Despite this, the news is reporting that the Fort Lauderdale shooter reloaded twice, and then when he ran out of ammo began walking out of the airport, at which point the cops finally emerged from their “perimeter” and arrested him.  But not after he murdered five people and shot eight others without any interference at all by the TSA, state police, or county cops who are always crawling all over the Fort Lauderdale airport like ants at a picnic.
