The Florida Constitution Commission, which only meets once every 20 years, has been commissioned for 2017. [More]Kind of like cicadas?
If Bloomberg has his way, it'll be more like plague locusts.
Notes from the Resistance...
...a far-right, anti-government patriot militia known as the “Oath Keepers”... [More]You read that somewhere, you believe it, that settles it, right, Cody?
OPRAH WHISKED AWAY LIKE A PREZ WHEN FIGHT Breaks Out Next to Her [More]As for your ability to protect yourself, she's had "enough."
Democrat Tom Perriello’s fundraising haul of $2.2 million in the first three months of 2017, the highest among all candidates in Virginia’s governor’s race, was powered in part by several six-figure checks from outside the state, including $385,000 from billionaire investor George Soros and his sons and $200,000 from a New York-based nonprofit Perriello co-founded a decade ago. [More]Too bad Republican frontrunner Ed Gillespie is one of those sellout "compromiser" types. A vote for him is a signal to the GOP that they can destroy the Republic and the Bill of Rights through cultural terraforming and you'll reward them for it.
California: One Gun a Month Bill Passes Senate Public Safety Committee [More]Interesting name they chose for themselves...
Although the incident took place last year, deputies said they couldn’t serve the arrest paperwork until last week. [More]Glad to see they finally had time to do it before getting home at the end of their shift. Lord knows anything that can wait several months merits binding a child and taking him hostage -- I mean, what else could anyone do?
Bottom line: It wasn’t for moral reasons, like it might inspire more violence, terror and misery. The simple truth is, they got punked. The author of the article wasn’t a real leftist spouting the requisite subversive and hateful inanities. It was a setup, an intentionally outrageous submission from a fake contributor who succeeded in appealing to HuffPo’s elitist strain of privileged “progressivism” and getting the piece published in a forum that would reach the world. [More]It's instructive noting what they got tricked into revealing about themselves, and what that really means about chances for reaching any kind of mutually acceptable accommodations: No, we can't "all get along."
This was a shocking episode to see on what is normally liberal network television. For once, the gun control advocates were shown to be the extreme, crazy ones and the hero defended gun rights. Much of the show was true to life about how liberal professors and administrators target conservative students and groups – including the verbal altercation between professor and student. After taking shots at Ted Kennedy and government regulations, Chicago Justice is shaping up to be pretty much the lone conservative TV show in a very liberal industry. [More]I'd have never guessed.
Guest Lineup: Fan favorite David Codrea joined me to discuss his recent work on Ammoland, War On Guns and Guns Magazine, among others. Enjoy! [Listen]I've been called a lot of things in my day, but that's a new one. Yesterday's Armed American Radio Daily Defense with Mark Walters is now archived.
Stewart Rhodes, founder of the citizen militia group known as the Oath Keepers, said he came from Montana with about 50 others to protect Trump supporters. They were joined by bikers and others who vowed to fight members of an anti-fascist group if they crossed police barricades. “I don’t mind hitting” the counter-demonstrators, Rhodes said. “In fact, I would kind of enjoy it.” [More]You'd think a "real reporter" working for a major newspaper would be able to get the fact right that Oath Keepers, while supportive of the concept, is not a militia group -- a point made more times than I can keep track of.
I was NOT talking about Anti-fa when I said that. I was talking about the actual white nationalists who showed up and tried to co-opt the event. I said we wanted nothing to do with them, and while the police told them we could not kick them out of the park, because the event organizers did not have a permit to use the park (which would have allowed them to exclude people), we would not let the white nationalists up on the concrete ring where the actual rally and speakers were, and if they tried, we would remove them physically. And that is when I said that if that happens, “I don’t mind hitting neo-Nazis. In fact, I would kind of enjoy it.”How's the saying go...? "Once is happenstance; twice is coincidence..."
This construction is a myth and white supremacy, imperialism, colonization, capitalism, and the United States of America are all of its progeny. The idea that the truth is an entity for which we must search, in matters that endanger our abilities to exist in open spaces, is an attempt to silence oppressed peoples. … The idea that we must subject ourselves routinely to the hate speech of fascists who want for us not to exist plays on the same Eurocentric constructs that believed Black people to be impervious to pain and apathetic to the brutal and violent conditions of white supremacy. [More]In other words -- in their words -- they cannot be reasoned with.
And ye shall know the white Eurocentric construct, and the white Eurocentric construct shall make you Enslaved.
2. If SAPS personnel or anyone under their command, after correctly identifying themselves, and providing some form of warrant or authorization insists on taking possession of your gun, you are advised to cooperate with them while pointing out that a green licence is valid at this date. [More]That's not what Captain Parker would have advised. But then again, he had not been betrayed by the previous generation that abdicated power.
“If they hadn’t sold the bullets that man would be alive. This has got to stop. They shouldn’t sell hollow-points,” Stravropoulos said. [More]A natural tendency to sympathize goes right out the window when they pull out the stupid and start endangering me and mine.
