This is a placeholder for now because I have not had ads on this blog for years. In case I ever start up again, this will be the policy in effect:
The FTC has some fool nonsense rules about ads on blogs or some such and presumes authority over the First Amendment to compel the unfunded mandate that we who earn ad revenues make some kind of disclosure so you don't think we're getting paid to say nice things about people or God knows what, meaning they must think you're stupid, too. I have had a few ads on this site in the past and may do so again if I think it's worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn't buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don't mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now--you're not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer.
About "The Only Ones"
The purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they're involved in gun-related incidents.
Comment House Rules
Keep them on topic. No spam. No threats against anyone except me. Do not feed trolls--I'll take out the trash. Try to keep it clean. I'm the final arbiter. If you don't like the rules, start your own damn blog.
Link Policy
WarOnGuns reciprocates links with liberty-oriented sites promoting the right to keep and bear arms for all peaceable individuals. If you have linked to me and don't see your site below, it's probably just because I haven't noticed it yet. Shoot me an email via the "Contact Form" (see above in this sidebar) if you want to fix that.
As a general rule I remove links for blogs that have been inactive for over one year.
“In performing its duties, the Commission, through its Board or designated employees or agents, may: Enter ... any lands, waters, and premises adjacent to the WMATA Rail System ... for the purpose of making inspections, investigations, examinations, and testing as the Commission may deem necessary to carry out the purposes of this MSC Compact, and such entry shall not be deemed a trespass.” [More]
So is this a grave new threat to liberty or much ado about nothing over standard easements?
Aside from this being a non-issue for anyone except opportunistic communists and their useful "progressive" idiots, the "news" is mostly using "representative" photos of previous marches. [More]

Gun accidentally fired ... A gun accidentally was fired... A gun accidentally was fired ... “There was minimal damage to the wall from the accidental discharge.” [More]
Except the idiot mother intentionally pulled the trigger to see if the gun was real.
Trump prepares to lift limits on military gear for police [More]
I pretty much outlined my militarization concerns reflecting on how it would complicate a Battle of Athens rematch.
Anybody see any bills for all those "stauch defenders of the Second Amendment" we keep getting suckered into voting for on carrying out their "organizing, arming, and disciplining" the Militia mandate, and by that I'm talking about including (b)(2)...?
I agree with not being overly picky about fighting back using any chair at hand. That's why I've recommended stuff like RICO actions and "knew or should have known" civil suits against those financing subversives, among numerous other suggestions I doubt I'll ever see happen. I've actually been an advocate of using "the left's" laws against them for a long time and I'm sure I could come up with a dozen examples if I didn't have other stuff to do right now.
In terms of a broader and more detailed plan, lacking a crystal ball and, importantly, unified leadership with resources, I'm pretty much stuck in the same place as everyone else and must make do with hoping my preparations, alliances and reactive adaptations get me and mine through as far as they can against whatever "wicked this way comes."
[Via SamAdams1776] * The Internet Archive Wayback Machine site is having connection difficulties at present -- nothing I can do about it. The link goes to an insightful old Examiner.com piece by Kurt Hofmann comparing the "botched gun sting" excuse for Fast and Furious to South Park's Undepants Gnome business model.

Colorado Politics/Statesman is read by every state wide politician in Colorado. Hopefully a wake up call and rally cry to other patriots to stand up to lying, dishonest politicians.
A school in Woodstock, Georgia, is facing fierce criticism online after photos emerged of young students handling guns at a firing range during a school-sanctioned trip. [More]
PSH and the obligatory noises from the state notwithstanding, some of those photos merit a closer look, fingerwise and hammerwise:
If you're going to teach them, teach them right.
I can't tell if the "NRA... gun control" line is a mistake or an appropriate use of the term -- in more ways than one, if you think about it.
“Promotions such as those mentioned above constitute civil rights violations under the California Unruh Civil Rights Act and entitle the individual subject to discrimination to statutory damages in the amount of $4,000.00 per violation, in addition to costs and attorneys’ fees should litigation be commenced,” the letter’s author, Gregory Rolando, wrote. Looks like Gregory's feelin' the earned love on Yelp and Ripoff Report. I'm wondering if anyone's gonna make a SoCal janitorial service/INS presumption...

A quick head count of the Senate shows that bill essentially dead on arrival. In addition to most or all Democrats lining up against the legislation, several Republicans are also balking at it, including members of the 2013 “Gang of Eight,” such as John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. And the "compromise" will be to put the age group most favorable to collectivism on that "pathway to citizenship"?
Good thing none of this has anything to do with that "single issue."

But a Los Angeles Times review of records from 20 of the state’s largest police and sheriff’s departments, plus the Alameda County district attorney’s office, found some agencies have been slow to follow or have ignored the law. [More]

Yet the meme being shoved down everyone's throats, and enthusiastically exploited by establishment "Republicans," is Trump was wrong to say the commie side had its share of culpability.
It's pretty clear that conditions are being set up to provoke an armed response, and that "crisis" in turn will be used to justify more controls on guns and on everything.
If you’re not from Oregon, your help is still welcome and needed. [More]
Why should you get involved? If the state can make this stick, it will be coming soon to your AO. Just as soon as the gun-grabbers find the right blood dance opportunity to exploit.
