Preserving the Legacy

The Legacy.com Guest Book for Michael Brian Vanderboegh will remain open until 9/9/2017, after which it will no longer be available to add an entry. The Legacy.com team wants you to be aware of this should you wish to sponsor the Guest Book to keep it open longer. [More]
But the page will still be there. Sponsor the "write" function if you like, but I think we've all had our say.  And I can think of a better use for gratitude offerings, one I know Mike would have preferred.

On a related note, I finally got a chance to watch the final cut of "Lies of Omission" Friday night. It really drove home what we're missing with Mike's passing. The DVD case had an insert about a future release that T.L.Davis drove up and shot B-roll footage for with me on Aug. 23. Here's a scan:

That seems like a better way to preserve Mike's legacy.

Death to the Republic Redux

Please Mr. Codrea, cease blaming President Trump for that which the electorate is responsible for... [More]
Cantor/Brat.

We'll never know what effect the early and enthusiastic support of Trump and his populist effect would have had on the Ryan/Nehlen race because he opted to make nice with the establishment instead of draining the swamp, and did the same thing with the McCain/Ward race. And Miller/Murkowski. And his picks have all betrayed him, that is, betrayed the Americans who voted for him based on his campaign pledges. And that's on him for not doing the right thing. And then on us, or at least the effects are.

Weeks in office has absolutely nothing to do with it. I was calling for Trump to reciprocate endorsements, and specifically for Nehlen, long before.  Back when everybody was saying he didn't stand a chance in hell.

The pattern of consistently ignoring his base is evidenced throughout Trump's presidency with the continued exit of top advisors who got him there and the solidification of positions for insider quislings who have never shown loyalty to the ideas that got him elected. How do you blame the electorate for that?

Note I didn't make any arguments that resorted to including your intelligence in the equation -- if it's not that, what are you implying? And note my call was for Trump to endorse candidates of principle, something within his power to sway that electorate. Blaming them solely, offering no viable solution and rejecting the one thing that could have created a chance of change produces what, exactly?

Exclusive: Headline News

First and foremost, they give us a glimpse into what mainstream news providers think is relevant, because they exclude much of what bloggers uncover and limit their return results to “qualified” sources. Those of us who produce alternative content see firsthand how many important stories are excluded from the news feeds. We also see how such media exclusivity results in lies of omission, especially when considering how many of the stories qualifying for inclusion are rife with inaccuracies, spin and outright falsehoods. My latest GUNS Magazine "Rights Watch" column looks at how the narrative is selectively controlled and the whole story is kept confined to niche readerships.
