A Line in the Sand

Trump to send military to Mexican border [More]
Why not? They're protecting everyone else's borders.

If government was doing its job, the militia would have been called up. And before that, Mexico would have been given plenty of reasons, good and bad, to take care of all the problems on its side of the border.

A Good First Step

[T]he Missouri House Rules Committee passed House Bill 1936 which expands the protections of the Second Amendment to locations and areas where you can carry concealed in its state. [More]
Anybody know if this stands a chance?  With Republican majorities in the House and Senate, and Greitens in the State House (no thanks to the 3-D chessmasters at Fairfax), what legitimate reasons could it have to fail?

We're the Only Ones 'Bottoms Up!' Enough

New Jersey cops search man's anus, genitals for weed during traffic stop. See for yourself. [More]
And the cowardly thug rapists cited him for "tailgating"?

Joseph Drew and Andrew Whitmore, eh?  And "progressives" say they're the "Only Ones" who should have guns?

Good luck with the lawsuit-- where will he find a ruling with "functionally identical facts" to overcome "qualified immunity"?

It's enough to make a man want to take the law into his own (gloved) hands.

Dying to Know

Prosecutors said the 52-year-old Hunter was working as a security chief for weapons and drug trafficker Paul Le Roux when he recruited Samia and Stillwell to travel from their homes in Roxboro, North Carolina, to the Philippines for what was called “ninja work.”  [More]
So who's Le Roux's "U.S. senator" grandfather, and what's his stance on victim disarmament"?

So He Wasn't Dangerous After All?

After the three-day delay, the man purchased the gun because Walmart had not heard back from CBI or been told to block the sale. [More]
And that, of course, is what they're priming us for going after. After all that control, we still don't have enough.

I like how "a neighbor's opinion" is enough to spook the herd.

We were living in a condo when we first had elder feral son Uday, and our upstairs neighbor used to stomp on the floor when he cried. If my freedoms had depended on her testimonial, I'd probably still be in solitary.

Agreeing to Disagree

According to the police report, the 29-year-old victim named Maricela said she overheard a conversation between the two female suspects and their male friend. She reported to police that she become involved in their conversation and stated, "I support Donald Trump.” [More]
I'm sorry, but what did she think was going to happen?

Vote GOP -- Squishes You Can Count On, Sort Of...

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) on Tuesday warned that his state could see a wave of Democratic victories in the 2018 midterm elections, and pressed supporters to "counter" the "Far Left." [More]
So stay on the bus that gets us there slower?

The problem is, Scott, we see stuff like this and the implications aren't lost on us:
Two years ago, Walker said that it "makes sense" to grant citizenship to some of the millions of undocumented workers already in the country. By earlier this year, his position had changed, with Walker saying in March: "I don't believe in amnesty" for those in the country illegally. Later that same month, Walker told New Hampshire business leaders at a private dinner that he did, in fact, support providing some illegal immigrants with a pathway to citizenship, according to those familiar with the discussion. News accounts of the event sparked an outcry from the right, along with immediate denials from his staff.
And then we see stuff like this:
Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican with an A rating from the National Rifle Association for his long history of supporting pro-gun measures, is shifting his approach following the recent mass shooting at a Florida high school and as he seeks re-election in November.
Got anything to kindle fire in bellies, like we saw in 2016, or have establishment Republicans done their best to squelch it? I know "The Swamp" will blame apathy losses as a rejection of "Trumpism," but some see the difference between the man and the platform that elevated him -- and have no use for those who undermine it.

Pull that prag "perfect is the enemy of the good" crap on people who haven't seen it a thousand times and won't be fooled again.  What, that means a Democrat will win and really turn up the heat?  That'll get us to the brink, won't it?

See, some figure, thanks to unprincipled Republiquislings, that they're not going to vote their way out, which makes it really dangerous for all concerned. They figure if push comes to shove, they still have the right to keep and bear arms -- whether it's recognized or not. What oppressors and "compromisers" don't seem to grok is that "tolerating" this right not only protects us, but them as well.

Right now they're only seeing defiance.  Resistance takes on a whole new dimension.

Yesterday's News

About the YouTube shooter...?

Here's the archive of her webpage.  I suggest you get what you want from it before it's forced off.  And you can still find related stuff on Facebook.

Man, she wasn't kidding about being censored. If I had to guess, I'd say videos with titles like "Health Risks of Anal Sex" probably didn't endear her to the censors of San Bruno.

This won't do anything to reverse the company's position on gun-related videos but will probably make the excusion even stronger. I would look for a lot more sensitive leeway for Iranians and vegans, though...

Damn the NRA, right?

CA Law & YouTube Policy Ensured Law-Abiding Employees are Unarmed

“We are committed to a violence-free work environment, and we will not tolerate any level of violence or the threat of violence in the workplace. Under no circumstances should anyone bring a weapon to work. If you become aware of a violation of this policy, you should report it to Human Resources immediately. In case of potential violence, contact Google Security.” [More]
Of course that "committment" means we can't stop any of it but we will do our part to make sure you can't either.

Exclusive: The Insecurity of an Unfree State

Per the Miller Court, “the Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear … ordinary military equipment … that … could contribute to the common defense.” It’s beyond curious that the monopoly of violence zealots behind the semi-automatic bans justify them by screaming they are “weapons of war.” [More]
It really is about freedom and security, you know...

Never Enough

Another anti-gun ballot measure has been filed. As you can see, in this case one of the chief petitioners is not even an Oregon resident. [More]
The gist of it, near as I can tell trying to make sense of such things, is they want to make sure pitchfork murderers don't encounter any pesky resistance...

Anti-Gunner

With  the understanding that when I say "Fudd" it's not an indictment of all hunters and sport shooters, but rather only of those willing to throw the rest of us under the bus, I gotta say, I have more contempt for old fools like "Gunner" who "think" this is ultimately about "bump stocks" than I do for flat-out pink pussy hat-wearing, dildo-waving hoplophobettes. [More]

Commentworthy

Starting with my AmmoLand piece, we saw that public comments on the government's "bump stock" ban proposal weren't working. We then saw the buck "expertly" passed by unaccountable bureaucrats eager to get a jump on their Easter weekend. Subsequently we saw government admit it screwed up and give assurances the problem was fixed.

My worry was that comments submitted before the problem was discovered might be lost, and while some have still not seen theirs appear, mine submitted on March 29 finally made it -- albeit showing an April 2 submission date.

Still unacknowledged -- how many who tried to comment have been discouraged by the "comments closed" message and have not been back to make their views known?  My reach is small, and aside from me 'n Bear, I haven't seen any news outlets reporting on this -- or national gun groups, for that matter. What the hell's the deal with that?

So how would those who tried and were rebuffed before submiting their thoughts even know things were back up so they could try again? in a very real sense, they have been disenfranchised and denied their lawful right to influence rules they will be required to live under.

What does "our" government intend to do to make things right with them, to make sure this doesn't happen again, and to hold individual employees responsible for this unacceptable "screw up" accountable?

The Stupid, It Burns

You have to get past a minute-and-a-half of commercial and intro stuff before getting to the interviews, but the opinionated know-nothings don't disappoint if you're up for some forehead-slapping. [Watch]

I particularly liked this exchange:
Q: Who should control the guns?A: The government.Q: Do you trust the government?A: No...

NRA-ILA's 2018 TRUTH ABOUT GUN OWNERS (TAG) POLL

The truth about it is, after spending time taking their damn poll they won't let you submit it without making a contribution. [More]

If I Can't Mess You Up, No One Will!

Ah yes, love is always beautiful. Until hitting a bipolar low. [More]

WarOnGuns Correspondent Mack H notes a consistent "progressive" (Ha!) would demand ERPOs to remove cars.

Invulnerable?

“This doctrine, invented by the Court out of whole cloth, immunizes public officials even when they commit legal misconduct unless they violated ‘clearly established law.’ That standard is incredibly difficult for civil rights plaintiffs to overcome because the courts have required not just a clear legal rule, but a prior case on the books with functionally identical facts.” [More]
Sorry, but no recourse for you. Like it says in the Preamble, "Precedent über alles!"

What did Mr. Kennedy have to say about that...?

Ducey IS the Disaster

We are hearing that there is a strong possibility that “Ducey’s Disaster” could be introduced in the Legislature this coming week. Though most of us have not yet seen the actual language of his so-called “School Safety” proposal, his public press release contained more than enough to be concerned about. Everything from court ordered firearms confiscations (and involuntary mental evaluations) that would disarm you based on the feelings of friends or family that you “could” be dangerous, down to proposals that would make parents felons for the unlawful actions of their children. [More]
Honest-- I didn't set out to make this a theme for today.  I just can't stop from running into it.

What's a Little Polar Shift Among Friends?

“I don’t know how I can responsibly look at those young people and not say ‘We need to do something,’ ” Warner said... [More]
Yes, something must be done!

Say, gang, I've got a swell idea. Let's eradicate the Second Amendment!

You know, that issue I used to get an "A" rating on until I no longer needed it...

Happens quite a bit, don't you think...?  Probably because I just don't understand three-dimensional chess.

Or betrayal...

Carrying On Her Husband's Legacy

Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) used an April 2 Fox News Live appearance to announce that she is preparing to introduce legislation to create a federal law allowing firearm confiscation orders. [More]
And why not? Her "pro-gun Democrat" NRA Board member husband voted for the Clinton gun ban.  Everybody knows he was the guy Wayne stole "jackbooted thugs" from, right?

And Debbie's got a partner in crime:
During live broadcast Dingell said, “Rep. Fred Upton (R) and I are looking at introducing … legislation … at the national level.”
That would be this Fred Upton:

Gee, it's almost like we're being bare-ass naked in the town square conned or something...
